Unfortunately, our first experince here was not good. We went to checkin and only 1 lady was working the desk. Waiting with a baby and 2 year old is not fun. Finally a second employee comes to help at the desk... This employee skips us even though we were next and waiting longer. So rude. Next day, we arent allowed to bring the breakfast to the room... Same day, there is a party at the pool til around midnight. Guests like myself do not appreciate all the noise when my kids are trying to sleep. Not what I was expecting for the cost. We did like the cleanliness, safety, the room, views, location, warm pool, friendly staff...

Prices do not match the facilities provided in the room. Nice view but limited facilities such as no lighting, for a room with 4 people not enough water, towels. Not 5 star. Quiet in the day but noisy party at night.

I have been in Ecuador for a month, and this hotel has been my least favorite. The staff does not seem to communicate well and is inconsistent in applying policies. The views are great, and the pool is nice, but the staff needs training and simplified processes. The rooms are also very sparse. I was surprised by the rating of this hotel on Expedia. I checked out as soon as I could, and I am glad I was only there for one night.

The Ecuadorean people are amazing - salt of the earth. Driving there you don’t need a rental - All taxis are 2 dollars driving around. Excellent and convenient to 3 Storey mall and super restaurants around. No beach sales people. Calm feeling around. Lots of fresh fruit no GMO. You.ll love it?

Reception in the check in they charge xtra for the IVA taxes that Expedia didn’t include in the price receive. The security box has broken , and every day I have to call the maintenance to open. Extend one day in the reservation makes doble of the initial price very sad.

Amazing staff

Excellent staff service. Everyone was just amazing, room service, butler, reception, waiters and others. Thank you. Food is great but the hotel is kind of old. Beach at this time of year was not possible to use and lots of debris. Great view of the ocean.

Worst hotel experience I had in last 40 years of frequent travels. Mantahost hotel is a party place and no place to have a night sleep. Every night we stayed There was constant very loud music , sometimes ending at 2am!!

This wasn’t first time staying at Mantahost. The place is well kept though a bit dated. It feels more like a budget hotel than a high-end hotel. I think that fresh flowers in the lobby instead of plastic ones could go a long way. My score is due to the fact that I was very comfortable, the noise was very low or nonexistent, the food was good and the service exceptional. I’d definitely return.
