Cozy Cottage on the Lake

We loved being right on the lake and taking the boats out this morning was a highlight. Though smaller than we expected, this was rustic stay on a beautiful lake.

These were cute little cabins, rustic, but clean and tidy with everything there for staying for awhile. AC too. We were on the water and the geese welcomed us in the morning! The cabin had a screened in porch with comfy chairs. There was a nice little beach with kayaks to use, a fire pit and firewood for each cabin. The bed was comfy. It was nice and we would definitely visit again.

This fit the bill for an unplanned birthday overnight. Everything went smoothly and was as described. We regret our stay was too short to enjoy some of the amenities but we hope to return.

I loved these cottages. It felt like a little community right on the lake. Everyone was friendly, staff and other guests included, and the proprietor Nancy even gave us a customized mug for our stay. The lake is serene and is great for boating and swimming. They have a lot of kayaks and water toys for your use. The cottage itself was cozy; we loved having the front porch to relax on and watch the sun over the water. It comes with a pretty complete kitchenette that we would have utilized more if we were spending more time in the cottage. The bed was pretty uncomfortable, it was too firm and our muscles definitely hurt after a few nights on it. We also wish there had been more hooks/shelves to put things like wet towels and bathing suits. We would definitely return!

Rustic but good value.

Great little rustic cottages. If you don't mind old school do-it-yourself lake cabin living, this place is great for the price. If you are into elegance and upscale interior design, this place will horrify you.

I called a couple hours early to see if we can check in early and she said we can. She gave us our code to get into our cottage and said she would check on us later which she did. Very friendly and asked if we needed anything and gave us a mug to remember our time here. Bed was VERY comfortable. The only thing was the heater didn’t seem to work very good unless we should’ve turned it up. But all in all I think we would stay again.

I didnt need to bring a thing except clothes and food. Cottages are clean and well equipped and remind me of something my grandparents might have stayed at which I liked. The cottage was literally 3 yards to the lake. I had fun kayaking in the kayaks they had provided. Nancy and Lee are great hosts, and I really enjoyed my vacation.

Enjoyed Our Stay!

We enjoyed our cabin. Only a couple of concerns: the air conditioner was old and never stopped running (it didn’t interfere with out sleeping) and the shower was more of a mist instead of a spray. My wife was afraid to wash her hair. She was concerned about being able to wash out the soap. However, we would consider staying there again if we were in the area.

The owners were accommodating. The place was clean and the bed was comfortable. There are good places to eat nearby. There is also a grocery store, not too far away. They have nice gas grills at each cottage and screened in porches. But...the salmon cottage was just too small for the two of us. The cottage was leaning toward the lake and sits just off a busy highway. It is a one room bed, and kitchenette with a dorm type refrigerator. The "beach" area was a small area in front of another cabin. The kayaks and paddle boat left a lot to be desired, but they are free to use. There may have been better ones already in use? I can see where

Owners are very sweet, yhey check on you and make sure you have everything you need. House is clean and perfect for our family. The lale is clean and taken care of you can even take out boats for no extra fee. We had so much fun, we can't wait to go back.

Right on the lake. Very small but functional beach. Somewhat near a main road, so you get traffic noise during certain hours. Nothing that impacts sleeping etc.

Perfect place to take kids. Children were up at the crack of dawn to take out kayaks and paddle boats. They went fishing all day long and had a blast. Great start, Nancy texted me to tell me my cabin would be ready before 11, and she would check up on me after I had arrived. Cozy little cabin, was perfect for a day to myself, wish I had more time to use lake and boats.
