"This property has gone steeply downhill since our last stay here. We come into town every couple of months and this hotel had been our go-to for a couple of years. The morning after we arrived, we saw bright pink lipstick on our fitted bedsheet; not mine as I had no makeup with me. There was also a dark brown-black smear on one of the lampshades. One of the two elevators was broken. The washing machine was out of order as was the ice maker on our floor. Our entire room looked and felt dingy and dirty. Breakfast was adequate and the coffee was good. A couple of staff members were good but the rest were surly. No pride of work or ownership for the most part. This hotel needs a complete overhaul in my opinion. We ended up leaving a day earlier than planned due to the above conditions."

AVIA Residences on Lincoln- Extended Stay

"Unfortunately we had a bad start to our stay at AVIA. Never received the all important information to access a lockbox after emails were sent to let them know we were arriving after 1900. The phone numbers (3) were to automated machines which were totally useless. An hour waiting outside thankfully it wasn’t raining. We finally caught the eye of a person (employee) in a room who gave us another number to another answering machine. This time to a manager. Another message left. Thankfully the guy had access to the reception desk and he found a sticky note with the all important information which we needed to access our 3 rooms. The manager did ring back 2 hours later and we even received an email albeit with the wrong code number a further 2 hours later again. It’s a nice place, rooms, beds, space really good and I would recommend it to anyone but out of hours access has got to be better. Having an emergency number needs more than an automated message system with a message saying we will respond to your problem during office hours is absolutely pointless. "
