The staff were amazing. Always friendly and helpful. I could not praise them highly enough. The restaurant is top rate and definitely worth coming back for. The pools area was very nice but a little more sun protection would have been nice. The only area lacking was the maintenance. My toilet hardly flushed and the hand basin was cracked and leaked.

Der Aufenthalt war wunderbar und das Frühstück war sehr gut. Allerdings war unser Zimmer leider nicht 100 % sauber. Der Spiegel war verdreckt und die Hinterlassenschaften der vorherigen Zimmernutzer hingen noch an der Kloschüssel. Gut wir haben es weggemacht und die Brille desinfiziert. Trotzdem können wir das Hotel empfehlen.

Wir waren im Juni 2025 für 6 Tage hier zu Gast und hatten ein Zimmer mit privatem Whirlpool gebucht. Bereits bei der Ankunft ist uns die Freundlichkeit des Personals positiv aufgefallen, dies hat sich während gesamten Aufenthalts bestätigt. Das Zimmer war sehr schön und für 3 Personen ausreichend groß. Allerdings gibt es keinen Ganzkörperspiegel im Zimmer, was uns gefehlt hat. Die Betten waren bequem und das Badezimmer sauber. Leider war hier nur ein kleines Fenster und die Lüftung hat die Luftfeuchtigkeit die bei wärmerem duschen entstand nicht gut abgeführt. Das Frühstück war sehr gut, jeden Tag ein wenig Abwechslung. Positiv war auch die große Auswahl an pflanzlichen Milchalternativen. Der Pool ist schön und es sind ausreichen liegen bzw Sonnenbetten vorhanden. Da das Hotel ein Adults Only Hotel ist, ist es am Pool sehr ruhig. Die Entfernung zum Flughafen waren nur ca. 15 Minuten im Taxi und ein Bus fährt direkt vor der Türe in 15-20 Minuten nach Heraklion. Insgesamt war das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis hier im Hotel sehr gut und wir konnten uns super erholen.

In juni 2025 verbleven wij 15 dagen in Malena Hotel & Suites. Het resort is netjes, verzorgd en het personeel vriendelijk – met een speciaal compliment voor Eva van de receptie. De ligging is centraal, op 15-20 minuten van het vliegveld, ideaal om Kreta te verkennen. Onze kamer met jacuzzi was schoon en comfortabel; de schoonmaak was dagelijks in orde. Het zwembad is ruim maar onverwarmd, wat soms fris aanvoelde. Er zijn genoeg ligbedden, maar weinig parasols. Schone handdoeken voor strand of zwembad zijn vaak niet beschikbaar. Het ontbijt is eenvoudig en weinig gevarieerd; producten zijn regelmatig op en de koffie uit de automaat stelt teleur. Bij allergieën goed opletten, want informatie bij gerechten klopt niet altijd. In de omgeving zijn goede eetgelegenheden en een bakker voor de lunch. Al met al een fijne vakantieplek met verbeterpunten, vooral op het gebied van ontbijt en voorzieningen.

This was a relaxing property for a one night stay prior to our flight home. Staff were accommodating and grounds were smaller but nice. The property is located where several busy roads are nearby so there was some traffic noise but it did not impact our short stay.

Joli hôtel récent, pas d étages, juste des petites suites qui se succèdent. Belle piscine mais malheureusement il a pas fait beau donc pas utilisé. Elle n est pas chauffée Le ménage dans les chambres est assez approximatif, le surmatelas était vraiment tachés et vu qu’ils ne mettent pas de draps house mais juste un draps dessus avec les mouvements de la nuit au réveil on se retrouve le corp sur le surmatelas sans protection 😅 et donc sur les taches. Le petit déjeuner est très bien, variées. Pour la zone, c est proche d heraklion, mais à refaire on aurai booker a la cannée qui est bien plus proches des belles plages et la ville de la cannée est bien plus charmante.

Im ersten Zimmer c8 hat es fürchterlich im Bad gestunken. Wir konnten das Problem ausfindig machen. Leider wurde das Problem mit dem undichte Abflussrohr jedoch nicht sofort gelöst. Stattdessen wurden wir vertröstet, auf den nächsten Tag. Leider wurde auch dann keine schnelle Lösung gefunden stattdessen wurde auf dringliche Bitte unsererseits ein anderes Zimmer zur Verfügung gestellt. Wir haben gesehen dass das alte Zimmer c8 einen Tag später wieder an neue Gäste vergeben. Das Fitnessstudio ist schon ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen. Einige Geräte sind verrostet und eine regelmäßige Reinigung der Geräte findet nicht statt. Das Reinigungspersonal reinigt nur „sehr“ oberflächlich (kein staubsaugen oder feuchtes Durchwischen). Das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr abwechslungsreich.

Heel mooi verblijf gehad. Personeel heel vriendelijk. Mooi, groot domein. Lekker ontbijt. Kamer op zich heel mooi maar helaas niet zo grondig naar poetsen toe. De voorlaatste dag is onze kamer zelfs nauwelijk gepoetst geweest. Hotel is gericht op adults dus mss toch ecen opteren voor een eenpersoonsbed extra in de kamers te plaatsen ipv een bedbank. Liked: Lovely, attentive, friendly staff. Room and the rest of the hotel clean. Great selection of breakfast food and snacks, coffee, etc. Restaurant, bar, poolside, gardens, very inviting. Nearby shops, amenities, etc. Didn't like: Lack of dining table in room if we wanted to eat in. Gym room and equipment in disrepair and dirty. First time in Crete. We really liked it, and the staff at Malena contributed to our enjoyment. Would go back to this hotel but, in all honesty, there's so much more to explore on the island and, to see the things we like, we'd base ourselves to the east or south of the island.

We had a fantastic stay at Malena Hotel and Suites! The hotel itself is beautiful, well-maintained, and offers a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. The rooms were clean and well-equipped, and the overall ambiance was perfect for a great vacation. A special mention goes to Despina, who was exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our stay. She truly went above and beyond to make us feel at home, and her warm hospitality made a huge difference. The rest of the staff was also very friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist with anything we needed. We absolutely recommend Malena Hotel and Suites to anyone looking for a great place to stay. We would love to return in the future!

Lovely pool garden with some Balinese style sun beds and many regular sun loungers. There were problems with the key card, as it had to be reprogrammed every day. Stylish room. Despite the sounds of the street, we slept really well. A really good breakfast selection. There weren't many nice restaurants open in the area between October and November.

The property is more like a small village complex than a hotel, with pathways linking the apartments to the main areas, bar, pool etc. It is so tranquil, a really lovely place to stay. The beach is a few minutes away, but we mostly stayed around the hotel. The staff are all very friendly and multilingual. The food was excellent and I’d recommend the buffet breakfast, it really set me up for the day.
