I booked late in the day but staff were very welcoming on check in. Clean, warm and comfy room. Great pub attached and Excellent breakfast. Location is ideal right at the top of a busy high street but noise wasn't an issue during the stay.

Such a lovely couple nights stay here. Perfect location for us as just 10mins away from a wedding we was going too. Staff was friendly & welcoming. Breakfast was yum!

Staff were great, breakfast was very good. Easy parking. A very old building and theyve done their best to modernise it. I felt the access from the pub into the the hotel area was perhaps less secure than most hotels. On the whole a good experience at the Blue Boar.

Brilliant Stay

Fatastic hotel and our room and ensuite was lovely, my only issue was the mattress was rather noisy. Breakfast was lovely but please try either Linda McCartney or Cauldren veggie sausages as even meat eaters love them. If we're ever in the area again we'll definately stay at The Blue Boar. The staff were lovely too.

Fab little place. Clean and tidy. Just a little bit old in places but its charm makes up for that. The breakfast was great and every staff member was more than helpful. Would recommend for sure.

Excellent stay. The hotel team were friendly and welcoming. We were able to transfer our booked room to a downstairs room. That’s a big thank you. Breakfast was cooked to order and was perfect. Excellent location. The hotel, yes we will be staying there again.

Historical Gem

Beautiful old building bursting with history, helpful and friendly staff and a lovely breakfast. Easy and free parking round the back. Only downside is the very steep stais to the second floor, worth bearing in mind for anyone with mobility issues.
