It appears a little away from the old town & the major tourist venues until you explore the pathways in the neighbourhood but be prepared for steps & hills!( good cardio!) I enjoyed it & was comfortable with the high tech remote check in & access process.( I qualify as a tech dinosaur at 74.) I would definitely go back there. The traditional was well married with the contemporary with a microwave, coffeemaker & kettle in each room so you could easy self cater. A great find!
The room was nice but a little too far from the center and there is no isolation so we hear everything but except that, the room was clean and had everything we needed with a nice view.
We had messed up our Expedia information whwn arriving. Vadym the owner very kindly helped with everything we needed. Beautiful hill top property superbly renovated designer. Beautiful. Private balcony is fantastic. The public plaza balcony is in process but will soon be great no dought. Thanksfor a great stay.

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The location is in a quiet area of town, has an amazing view overlooking the Gibrelfaro castle and the Cathedral. The room is spacious and has even kitchen necessities and a mini fridge. The coffee maker didn't work, and upon request for fixing or replacement, the hotel contact from the App only suggested solving the problem on my own. The bathroom is very clean, has a good amount of surface space. The shower has good water pressure. The check-in was really easy, and the room has good wifi. No staff present at the location, and it might cause a serious problem if the guests have any emergencies.
The drawback was that the advertised public terrace was completely out of order, with heavy renovation taking place. And nowhere during my booking was this information mentioned to me. And the said renovation starts exactly at 8AM and disturbs the guests with the loud radio or drilling, or loud screaming. If you were banking on long sleep during VACATION or proper Siesta, don't expect peace and quiet.
This apartment was a good size with enough drawers and wardrobe space. A surprise when opening a wardrobe door to find a neatly fitted full size fridge, cutlery and crockery was provided and kettle and coffee machine. Plus dishcloth and washing up liquid!
Everything was clean and tidy and the bed although it felt a little soft when sitting on, was very comfortable to sleep in. There was also a 2 stool breakfast bar plus one chair to sit down. Our view was overlooking the street but with double glazing, louvered window shutters and shutters on the inside it remained cool and almost soundproof.
The air conditioning unit was 1st class.
We arrived at the airport at 11:00hrs and because when I phoned the “hotel” (there was no-one on duty the whole 5 days we were there) as we weren’t allowed in until 15:00hrs I was told there was nowhere in the hotel to leave our luggage. So we sat around the airport for 3 hours. When we arrived at the “hotel” we found that in the foyer were about 6 large cupboards in which suitcases would have fitted! The cupboards however didn’t have locks!
The system to get in when you arrive is simple. The “hotel” sends you an e-mail the day before you arrive, it contains the code to open the front door and a code to enter your room. When you enter the code to the front door a handle on the door lights up and flashes, you then turn the handle clockwise to open the door. There is a lift in the building down a corridor on the right. We would stay here again!
I was given a key code to access the villa but once inside I could not get into my room because I had not been sent a link to an app which turns my phone into a key card and unlocks my door. Had to wait half an hour for a phone call to resolve this. Then, I could not close my door upon exiting the room without massively slamming it and risk waking everybody up in the building, so I had to leave it open when I went out!
The room was freshly decorated and everything looked brand new, including the coffee maker. The room was large and it had a big, well appointed bathroom and lots of spare bed linen and air con/heating.
The balcony was brilliant with great views over Malaga and room for two reclining wooden chairs. However the old patio doors had not been upgraded and there was an ingress of water during a storm.
Malaga is a city so there was a bit of noise, but nothing untoward. This property is situated above the old town, so you have to climb a steep hill to reach it, so its not great for the eldrly or infirm.
The television did not work, and its niggly thing like this that spoil an otherwise great appartment.
Great value place. We usually stay in the city centre, but wanted to try somewhere different.
We had room 103 and had a nice view over Malaga.
The room was very clean and a comfy bed. The room was equipped with a fridge, coffee machine, microwave, plates, cutlery, etc. The bathroom had a very powerful shower and was very clean.
We thought this place was better than the usual 3 star hotels in the city centre.
The town centre is only a 15 min walk away. or €6 in a taxi.
We will definitely use here again
Very pleased with our stay here, sorry comfortable bed, nice bathroom, good WiFi and smart TV, and very handy to have a full fridge and other facilities in the room.
We had a small issue upon arrival, and although there is no check-in desk, the customer service team dealt with it quickly and efficiently, so credit and thanks for that.
The hotel is quite high up on a hill, so best this in mind if you have walking difficulties. The short cut down has 143 steps, which are still there on the way back 😂
Overall though, it's good value for money, and we really enjoyed our stay. Would stay here again for sure
Brilliant quiet and perfectly located for the city
Really enjoyed my stay here! Was perfect for my last minute long weekend trip. Just a short walk from the city centre (though maybe a little hilly for an older or less able guest? But av cheap taxi ride) and a lovely peaceful morning walk up monte victoria. Quiet street, simple but perfectly equipped room and en-suite, gorgeous views over Malaga from the hotel terrace and very easy self service check in and out. Brilliant
no one there to greet you and had to deal with someone on another continent to gain access.
one towel for whole stay
constant work from 8.00am
billed as accessible room because they had taken the bathroom door off.
building definitely not accessible as top of a very very steep hill
very overpriced for where and what it was.
The worst place I stayed in through over my 30years of traveling. No services provided and old towels and not even changing them on the daily basis. Not recommended at all
The directions to access the hotel and room are thorough and accurate. The room was basic and clean. This property was likely lovely at one time but it looks to be abandoned. The hotel itself looks deserted and is beginning to show signs of neglect. It is very strange and slightly eerie to be in a hotel with no staff or sign of life around.
On our second night, there was a private party in the garden. There were people mingling and talking and nothing too outrageous. Before long, it turned into what sounded like a raging disco and moved inside the hotel. The pouding music finally stopped just before 2 AM making it impossible to sleep before then. Had we booked into a hotel with a nightclub, this could be expected, however, this was not part of what we paid for and very disappointing.
I was worried after reading some negative reviews but I think it's a beautiful place to stay. It is up high so you have to access either from a steep stairway (bad when lugging suitcases) or a winding street. It has a peaceful terrace overlooking the city and the Citidel is perched up in front and lit up at night. It's a little walk downhill into the nightlife but remember the walk up later. There is no staff around and it feltike we were the only ones there but would occasionally see other so I know people were there. They were doing construction on the main floor and looked like possibly making a place to serve breakfast. The room does have a kettle and mini fridge. Our room overlooked the terrace and found it very relaxing. We slept with the window open at night and the little fountain was so nice to listen to. However we did get eaten up by mosquitoes! Our bad. Definitely would love to stay here again, just might take a taxi when we have baggage.
1. Nothing will be done with your requests. They will keep replying to you saying 'we're waiting for an update from our team'. But that's a lie. They're not local and the only thing they'll do is reply to you, but will NOT action anything you request them. It feels like communicating with AI.
2. Believe the negative comments here. I was naive thinking if I requested beforehand, then maybe my stay would be smooth. I've specifically asked for supplies for 2 people for 2night's stay. They only provided one set of towel. I felt I was on holiday and paid for 2 nights, so I deserve fresh towels per night. But that did NOT happen 1 set of towel for 3 days considering you'll sweat a lot with all those hiking to get to the property. Again, they replied, but didn't provide any additional towels at all. I feel sorry for those who've stayed here long term.
3. The garden is under-construction. It didn't matter at first as room 104 has a balcony. But workers start drilling and grinding early mornings AND SMOKING CIGARETTES. So al fresco breakfast with noise and smoke.
4. Uncomfortable pillows. Pillows are too thick, it's better not to use them. Didn't get enough sleep despite the tiring trips because of those pillows.
5. Most amenities don't work. Wifi doesn't work. Coffee machine doesn't work. Shower dial broken. Shampoo pump doesn't work. I feel sorry for those who've stayed here long term because yes they'll reply to you but will they provide for those broken amenities, NO.
