「This was a magical place to stay from the moment we checked in. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. The grounds are breathtaking. We enjoyed the pool for a quiet afternoon swim. The room was comfortable and had everything we would need. The castle itself was amazing to walk through and the staff graciously answered any questions we had. 「Perfect pick for us, convenient, clean, safe, helpful staff. Helped get a taxi to get to Salerno train station. Breakfast included. Beautiful view of river running thru Campagna. Campagna has historical sites which housed Jews during war, but the Italians were kind to the prisoners, which caused some their lives. US bombed Campagna causing deaths to Jews and citizens, but my family realizes it was a stratigic strike. Catacombs under church dating way back. Great Catina there, also pizzaria 」

「My husband and I spent five wonderful days at Il Giardino del Rio and enjoyed every moment. The room was clean and comfortable and the location was perfect for short walks through Castel di Sangro, or for drives through the gorgeous Parco Nazionale d’Abruzzo and its scenic towns.
