「Good view around the hotel but not every room having sea-view. A large supermarket next to the hotel. A local society near the hotel provides a path to involve into the daily life of local people. 」

「Arsta Inn is a great option for those who needs to stay in Maizuru. Fairly priced and complimented with a decent breakfast in a cosy cafe (albeit small), the experience was justified. Staff were very polite and efficient, offering a true experience of Japanese courtesy.
Room experience was typical of business hotels in Japan. Clean, tidy with decent supply of amenities, there was little to be complained with. The building is no doubt a bit old, but the management did its best to furnish the...

「Such a great place to enjoy our holidays with spectacular view from the lobby, hot spa and our room. Their warm and traditional Japanese hospitality made our time even better than expected. Thanks for all the thoughtful services! Highly recommended! 」

「If you want to take a step off the beaten track in Japan this is a very good option. The hotel is situated in a very good place to explore the Kyoto on Sea area (this is not Kyoto city).
The Hotel will send a minibus at certain times of day to pick new visitors up from the railway station. The hotels offers visitors free bike hire for 4 hours and is relatively close to the bus route for exploring other parts of the area.
As this is not a city you are limited in the immediate area for places...

"I do not recommend to stay in this hotel if...
1). you cannot speak basic Japanese. The staff cannot speak basic English and they were not even trying to use any translator device to communicate with foreign guests. I had to use limited Japanese to communicate with the staff.
2). you cannot tolerate heat nor noise. I checked in 2 days ago. This is already April which is spring season, but the hotel still had not offered cool function of air conditioning. How stubborn the hotel management is. So I was forced to open the window and use the electric fan (when the staff handed me the fan, they did not even wipe off the dust, so it was very dirty.) By the way, as I had to open the window at night, I was annoyed by the noise of the terrible local motorbike gangs.
Yet the location of this hotel is superb ~ opposite to the JR station and also a little shopping mall."
