"we booked and ocean view and had a room with a wonderful location (room 102, walk out, unobstructed access to the water). The rooms are tired but there is evidence that a fair bit is being done to renovate and update the rooms. There is new vinyl flooring in our room. The toilet ran all night, I reported it Saturday morning, we returned to the room at 3 and the room had not yet been cleaned. They came about 3:30, we took fresh towels. The toilet was not fixed and began to leak that evening. On a more pleasant note, the bed, pillows and sheets were comfortable. The towels were nice, but only one face and hand towel. Body towels were very comfy and large. Good tv selection. Room seemed clean but there was something sticky on the floor and when cleaned up - a wet paper showed a lot of dirt on the floor. Pool was open and heated, looked great, the kids were loving it. Ate at the lounge, food was good and service was very good. They provided us ice for the room. Front desk and check in were pleasant. "

"It was a great place. I did come in on the long weekend of Easter, so the restaurant was closed at odd times, which is understandable. The staff was awesome, super helpful. I would definitely come back."

"The Heron’s Landing is right across the road from the oceanfront. It is simple, honest, basic accomo, and if you’re being picky, it’s a bit dated. That said it very clean and very well kept. Covered parking is available, and the included breakfast was a bonus, given the price point. Overall, it was excellent value for the rate paid. "

"Very clean with a comfortable bed. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very basic with not many fresh options. My biggest complaint would be all of the scented product in the room. It's time a line of hotels took the lead on this and made their hotels scent free. "

"Dated and a bit tired, but good sized cabin, clean and functional. Good stocked kitchen and great location within walking distance of Cortes ferry and grocery store/cafe. Like other reviews, yes, mattress is hard and bedroom curtains need to be thick/darker. Off season kitchen closes at 7pm so plan accordingly! "

"The room was comfortable but starting to show wear. Little things like the soap dish was upside down and shower curtain too low, fraying of carpet. The staff more than made up for any downfall. They were all so friendly and pleasant, gave us rooms close to each other. The breakfast was very good, and the cook was excellent. Changed breakfast into a good experience and we left with big hugs from him. He’s part of the family now now. So a great rating from us "

"Very comfortable rooms. Quiet on our floor. Had the exercise room to ourselves both mornings that we went. Had a great spa treatment, lovely spa. Enjoyed happy hour in the restaurant. Love the cookies that are provided at turn down service in the evening."

"Had basically everything you could want in a kitchen, had some heating issues with one of the stove top burners and the fridge was "apartment sized which did lead to some space issues. Bed was comfortable. Nice shower. Nice tv. Outdoor decor was cool. Overall it was a great stay and would return."
