A no frills hotel that was exactly what we needed for a place to stay overnight. The rooms could use an upgrade; particularly the bathroom where it looks like there were fixes patched on top of other fixes. Other than that, the rooms were clean, staff was friendly, and the location was good.

Disappointing experience and misleading room description We booked a room for 5 people (3 adults, 2 kids) as the listing stated the room accommodated that capacity. However, upon check-in, we were given a room with only 2 double beds, which is entirely inadequate for a family of our size. Additionally, the check-in process felt highly unprofessional. The manager informed us they did not have keys available and had to personally escort us to the room to let us in, which made our family feel very uncomfortable and unsafe. While the manager ultimately agreed to a refund due to the room issue, the funds have still not been returned to our account well past the promised timeframe. This level of service and misleading advertising is not what we expected from a Marriott property. We are still waiting for management to resolve the refund issue and address these concerns.

Staff was great but the hotel is run down. There was only one working elevator. The beds were awful. Both sunk significantly in the middle. The pullout sofa had a super, super thin mattress. You could feel the metal springs when you laid on it. We had to cram into the regular beds which were not much better. The breakfast in the morning was ok. The waffles were great but the eggs and sausage were awful. No amount of salt or pepper made it better. The shower in the morning was luke warm. They had to reset the boilers. Disappointed for a Marriott property. Other than the staff being great, we would never stay in this property again.

Hotel was very clean. Staff was warm, friendly, and helpful. Pool and gym were also very clean. Excellent location! Across the parking lot is a great restaurant- the Mason Jar. The Woods view from my room was peaceful. Room had a tub and a desk and living area. I used the fridge, coffee maker, and microwave. Definitely will stay there again when I'm in the area.

Clean room Breakfast was sufficient enough to start my day The only issue was as I was sleeping was awaken to the fire alarm and was prompted to exit my bed and wait in a common area until it was safe to return. It was discovered that due to the negligence of some guests the alarm was triggered.

I pulled into the hotel on my motorcycle, during a fairly significant rain storm. The rain storm last for approximately 30 minutes, and although it was relatively hard, it wasn’t that extreme. I checked in, no mention was made of unavailable amenities. Only after I checked in did I see pails in the haulway and a person trying to vacuum up water from the rain. I go to use the pool, “closed” due to water seeping under the entry door, I go to use the gym, closed for the same reason. One of two elevators didn’t work. The next morning I found out that they had a plugged drain pipe in the roof rafters…..it wasn’t the severity of the rain, it was due to poor preventative maintenance on their building. I asked for a discount refund for not being able to access the amenities, but got refused. I still think this hotel should refund me a SIGNIFICANT amount of my nights stay, definitely not worth the $275.00 CA that I paid for this place.
