Definitely away from the action, but the price was affordable. There is a metro station in walking distance. A city bus stops right in front of the hotel and takes you to Puerta del Sol. Parque de El Retiro is about a 30 minutes walk,

The room was very noisy. It was close to elevator and you could hear everybody when walk by. We had many bags and nobody offer any help either during check in or check out. I had another reservation at a week later but decided to cancel.

I recongized that the hotel has a no cancelation policy, however when I realized I was double booked, i tried to change the dates, but this too is fixed in stone. I know I lost the cost of a nights accommodation and didn't even chech in. Nor will I ever.
