Great place to stay to check out Madrid. Clean, quiet, affordable. A little difficult to find the entrance but the staff (and surrounding lofts/businesses) are very friendly.

Great value and location

Very convenient central location one street away from Plaza del SOL and a 5 minute walk to Plaza Major. Reasonable price for a small 2 bed apartment with bathroom, kitchen and lounge. Ideal for short or long stays.

Comfy and convenient 😌

The reception staff was very accomdating and even let us leave our luggage in storage at their place. Everything we needed was in our room. The location was terrific with eateries and shopping areas close by and convenient.

This is very centrally located to plaza mayor and the surrounding area, and it’s less than a 5 minute walk from the Sol metro station! They allowed us to store our bags before check in, and the process was so easy!

Recommend for location

Very pleasant appartment. Clean. Comfortable beds. A bit difficult to locate as the name of the appartments are not outside. Excellent location for city centre. Everything accessible by foot from here.

We stayed 3 days, but only thefirst day room was cleaned, there was no full length mirror and the only mirror was in bathroom which was already a small space . Staff was not so helpful.location is close to all the tourist sites but expect lot of crowd and noise.

We really liked the location, it is in the center of everything. The apartment room is large and has almost everything (there is no iron), there is no daily cleaning, it did not feel very clean and it is a little outdated.

The property gave us an opportunity to live like a local I suppose. I like the fact that it is in the middle of the old city, near beautiful streets, shops and churches. My family enjoyed the stay at the property immensely. It was a unique experience.

I enjoyed the walkable distances to the Plaza Mayor being in contact with local people learning about crucial& historic landmarks. Having the taste of the food, tapas, paella, rabo de toro within walking distance! I highly recommended to families or "solo" travelers to be in the heart of Madrid, taking the metro is convenient and fast way to know the city.

We liked everything at and near the property. It is centrical and everything needed was close by. What was disconcerting was that the property announced itself as a sort-of-hotel but not really. It never said it was a Hostal and the name on the outside says: "Castilla II" which was never mentioned when searching for the property. So it made it difficult to ensure that we were at the right place. Other than that, it was clean, the right size, and we enjoyed our stay there. Thank you!

The last night at the next room people were shouting at 3:00 am and we could not sleep. It was terrible. I tried to call reception but they did not answer. I sent several WApp messages to the hotel reception so they could advice the people in the nearby room. Terrible!

I reserved this room because the advertisement offered laundry services. Upon arrival I was told they don't even have laundry and they were unwilling to make any concession. I asked for a small discount allowing me to go do my laundry in a public facility and they declined claiming that the information I got was false and they didn't know how I got it. I told them I would write a review stating my disappointment and they got very assertive asking me to leave. I called expedia and they claimed I should have gotten laundry, A small concession as I requested would have gone a long way to make peace and secure a happy customer. Also, daily cleaning is not available. Homeless sleeping outside of hotel. And hotel name is different than advertised; it is actually a hostel. Very confusing advertisement
