Great Weekend Retreat with Great Food

Still a very lovely, quaint peaceful place to step back in time and enjoy a great relaxing stay. Love the decor and comfort of the furniture and bed. It's such a great place. The restaurant is great. Great food and service. The perfect place for a weekend of relaxing and enjoying great food in house. Highly recommend for couples especially. A great place for a romantic weekend.

Rock hard beds, no drapes on windows.

First I would like to say the the property is a grand old house, lovely period decorations and furniture. The host seemed friendly and helpful. They have a well stocked guest kitchen area which was nice. We stayed in the Rose room, I would have to say generally the room was uncomfortable. It was decorated nice in period stuff but was uncomfortable. There are a few things that have made this possibly one of the worse experiences of our lives. the bed was like rock, extremely hard, like xtra hard!! There are no curtins/drapes on the bay window, so the street lighting shines in all night, making the room very bright whilst trying to sleep on the rock!!.. Also there is an internal window above the room door with no curtain or cover on it, the lights from the guest common lounge shine in all night. I don't suffer from back problems, but I could barely walk the next day after lying in bed all night cos I sure wasn't sleeping. This experience has unfortunately ruined our days planned hikes as both of us can barely walk around. Unfortunately it seems like a nice period inn but the overnight stay was horrible and I can't recommend you even think of staying here unless of course you appreciate a good rock hard bed and bright light room to sleep in!!!!

Lovely place! Will return!

Our trip was short. Got in late after an Aggie game and had to leave early the next morning but we can't wait to come back again. The front desk staff and owners were so nice when I stopped by to check in. The room was cute and the snacks they had available upstairs were perfect for when we got in late and when we had to leave early before breakfast! What a treat! Recommend!

Beautiful inn and great service

Great, personal service. Elegant, clean rooms. Gracious hospitality. We had a delicious dinner in the pub. The hosts were friendly and went out of their way to help us when we were stranded in town with a car breakdown.

I stayed here for a recent work trip and had a great experience. The owners were incredibly friendly and always willing to help. My room was spacious and well-appointed, also almost all rooms have a small yard or balcony, beautiful lush landscape surrounds every location of the hotel. providing ample space for relaxing or work. I highly recommend Woodbine Inn & Restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable and enjoyable stay. Here you will have the sense of being on vacation as well as feeling like home.

Compared to some other B&B’s that we’ve stayed in recently, the Woodbine was a very pleasant surprise. The restrooms were large and more accommodating than other B&Bs we’ve stayed in. The house was beautifully restored inside and the grounds were beautiful, relaxing and spacious. Each room had a Victorian esthetic without being overly fussy. Very comfortable beds! Many restaurants bearby. We definitely will be back!
