The breakfast didn’t have any bacon or sausage and they didn’t refill the drinks even though there was still 40 min left to serve. I would also have liked a banana with the apples and yogurt as I feel like these are usually staples. However the free upgraded room was an amazing perk that the front desk lady offered and greatly appreciated for our family of 5

Tv volume won’t work. You try to turn tv down and just powers off and have to restart tv again so I guess it stays on at this high volume. Most vending machines will not accept a 5$ bill. Definitely older and they are in process of letting it fall apart. The front bedroom has no a/c and is very warm and there is no extra fan. Definitely has a mildew scent and staff needs to clean in the corners a bit better. Parking is tight. I suppose we will see if breakfast is any good. The little things can really wreck the experience. I get it the price is higher because the location but if your property is beat down than let’s adjust the price or pay and make the hotel a bit nicer.

Loved this hotel! We’ll stay here again when visiting Mackinac! Our room was very spacious and had a balcony overlooking the lake. The pool was open until midnight, which the kids loved. All shops and restaurants were within walking distance. Both ferries to the island were within walking distance. The hotel was clean and had quiet hours from 10p-6a, which was great. There was a complimentary hot breakfast with lots of options. Can’t say enough good things!

The front staff were very helpful and nice the house keeping also very sweet. The hotel was great nice and clean beds are very comfortable I just wished they had bigger pillows. We skipped the breakfast so not sure about it. It’s a short walk from the hotel to the ships.

It was in a gorgeous location, right on the beach. Very walkable to dining and touristy areas. The only "negative" thing is the property is a little "tired", maybe a little dated. But the breakfast was good as well!!

Chairs in the room old and stained falling apart. Room had a bad smell as soon as opened the door. Yet tub doesn’t look like they deep cleaned and on top of that very little only one person can fit in and I went with my husband 😕 the whole point was to spent time together not one at a time not worth $400+ a night. Breakfast only for 2 hours and not even if you get there 30 minutes before ending time you get nothing. We wore supposed to get tickets for water park and wasn’t give it until I remember to ask and the lady was even rude. Outdoor lounge chairs very limited and not towels on hand. Pool as soon as you open the door your eyes burn of all the chlorine it has. T.v is old school tv like a 19” with nothing good to watch. Bedsheets rough material. Again more than 400 a night not worth it.

The hotel was conveniently located along Lake Huron with shops and restaurants nearby. This is an older hotel, but our room was clean and we had a great balcony view of Lake Huron. The one thing that was disappointing is that we were assigned a room that could only be accessed by a staircase. There was not an elevator that went to this particular floor, but we were not told at check-in and we had trouble trying to figure out how to get to our room. We are older and had to lift our suitcases up the stairs to our room. Overall, I think this hotel is OK for a short stay, but I would not want to stay here for a week long vacation.

Shower had so much lime build-up on the faucet I didn’t want to touch. Wore flip flops in shower because it looked as if they didn’t clean it along with more lime buildup. Carpet had so many snags. Customer service was horrible! They did not provide ANY complimentary shampoo, soap, or lotion! No coffee pot! Place is very outdated. Needs a major renovation! Breakfast was okay. Nothing huge to rave about!

I gave the staff a 1 only because I was waiting for the elevator. When it arrived, a staff member was in it with a large bin of dirty laundry. She was on her phone. She saw I was waiting and she continued texting on her phone for at least 30 seconds not getting out of the elevator and blocking it from anyone getting in. Another staff member that was in the hall with me said something to her and she just made a nasty comment. I found that very rude. I wasn’t in a hurry but I also don’t appreciate rudeness. All the other staff so far have been awesome

We had a nice stay in the hotel, the beach was really nice, even though the water was cold. The rooms were a bit dark. It was great that breakfast was included, but I didn’t like that breakfast was served from 7-9 am. It would be great if the breakfast was served at least until 10 am. Regardless, I recommend this hotel for anyone traveling to Mackinaw City.
