Perfect hotel and location

My stay in Costa Linda was lovely. My partner and I stay there every year and we keep coming back. The hotel is clean, spacious room, central, near everything. I love Porto da Cruz. I wish all the best for the future.

Beautiful views and lovely village

It is a great hotel with beautiful views and a very good location. Very good breakfast . There was no aircon or a fan in the room , which made sleeping difficult sometimes .

Great location and fabulous restaurant

Beautiful location ! Our room had a little balcony overlooking the ocean -fabulous. Friendly reception and the restaurant is excellent - unfortunately closed for 2 out of our 3 nights. The mattress was a bit too firm for my liking, bathroom and shower very small and lots of door slamming going on (but that’s not the hotel’s fault.) Our room was not up to the same standard as the restaurant but comfortable enough for 3 nights. Good spot for visiting this side of the island.

Number One choice

Costa Linda will greet you warmly It’s is well used but clean and comfortable The drying area was much appreciated and the view from our balcony overlooked the sea only metres away We ate in the alfresco dining area. The food was fresh and well cooked. Breakfast was great and really good coffee If I had to pick one thing I would like added it would be a fly screen so the door could be open all night to listen to the sea without mosquitoes coming in. Porto da Cruz is an absolutely wonderful place to stop for a few days

Very friendly reception. Room was a bit tight with an unnecessary additional single bed, but made up for by amazing balcony view. Worth staying here for this alone. Fabulous. Breakfast was rather basic and a bit strange (limited from a menu not buffet). Service was slow and my small plate of scrambled eggs with no accompaniments were stone cold when eventually turned up. Nice fresh bread rolls, though. Lift covers all levels including restaurant on ground floor - with street-level access is handy for those with mobility issues. Good place to stay with great access to the sea front and amazing view from the balcony.

Three fabulous days in Porto do Cruz.

We arrived about 90 minutes early and asked if we could leave our luggage, our room was within a couple of minutes of being finished so spoke to the very nice receptionist Staff are really upbeat and friendly. Room was fabulous, amazing views over the sea and towards the cliffs. The sea on a couple of days over the weekend had big waves so was wonderfull, there is a lovely walk around a point on Porto do Cruz and on it there is a blow hole where the sea pushes the sea out and up to about 10 metres,.maybe more. This can be also a place to get wet as the spray can get you when you walk past. It's quite a popular attraction and great fun. Also when the waves are big it can also breech the sea wall. The bed in the room was very comfy and the shower had loads of hot water. Weather we had was lovely over 20 C. Had a couple of good hikes, one to Boca do Risco and back, tough start but once up to 350 metres quite flat. Also Levada Castelejo. We are not using a car so get the bus to Referta and walk from there, if you are in the area both theses walk are great you can exit this one early on the way back and walk back down the hill Breakfast had quite a selection of dishes and fab coffee. Need to add if you are taking buses be very aware of public holidays as buses can be next to nothing on these days. We were lucky to get a bus on Shrove Tuesday to Santa Cruz. Porto do Cruz is a great place for a few days and this accommodation was fab. Would recommend and stay again. Cheers, 😁😁

Séjour très agréable

Hôtel très bien situé en bordure de mer. Il existe des parkings gratuits à proximité. Le personnel est très sympathique et de bons conseils pour les visites. Je recommande vivement cet établissement.

Hotel bien situé! Chambre spacieuse avec un balcon pratique pour discuter le soir. Chambre où il fait chaud sans ventillo ni clim. Malheureusement la quartier est bruyant avec un bar en dessous et des chiens qui aboient la nuit. Le petit déjeuner est plus que médiocre.. comptez bien 30 min avant d'être servi. On a le droit a 2 commandes maximum. Pain sec et les yaourts chimique. Serveur peu agréable ni souriant La dame de l'accueil est très gentille et parle un peu français ! Convenable pour une nuit. Dommage car porto da cruz est un lieu magnifique!

Sercice petit déjeuner beaucoup trop long. 1h 15 pour le petit dejeuner, même si on est en vacances et qu'on prend le temps c'est trop long. Surtout qu'un grande partie de ce temps est consacrée à attendre puisqu'il n'y a pas de buffet. Le concept de servir à table est intéressant, mais tous kes clients etant arrivés en même temps dès 8h, le personnel ne pouvait pas répondre correctement. Il faudrait étaler de 8 à 10h, mais comment (on ne peut pas imoser aux clients...) ? Le prix du séjour est correct, donc le rapport qualité/ prix également ! Par contre, première fois depuis que je viens au Portugal que je trouve les serveurs et serveuses "froids", non joyeux, pas très agréables (à Lisbonne comme à Madère, à quelques exceptions près...), alors que nous sommes en début de saison, alors que d'habitude ils sont si sympathiques et agréables !!! Que se passe t-il ?Donc assez déçu de ce point de vue par le séjour en général.
