Isla de la Plata is just off the coast of Ecuador, a short boat ride and you are to the island which is also a national park.

We saw a ton of Blue-footed boobies both adults and chicks. To be honest, the chicks and adolescents are not very handsome birds.

We did a nice hike around with a very informative guide and were even lucky enough to see a sea lion on one of the beaches and a whale on the boat ride back to port!
