Very unique place

We were happy to find this place! A cosy hotel in a quiet village yet still in striking distance to Lyon and the highway. Amazing and friendly staff. A jaw-dropping dining experience in their restaurant with fresh and seasoned ingredients. Wine card for the connoisseur of good wine. We are looking forward to our next visit.

Beautiful and peaceful place to spend a night

Excellent service. We arrived really late and there was a person only waiting for us who took the time to receive us and explain us all the history of the place. The morning after they also took time to explain us in detail all about the surroundings.

Not a good place to stay during a heat wave

Staff were super friendly and nice. Food in the restaurant was good. Rooms were small and without proper windows. No air conditioning. Only a fan. I don’t recommend staying there during a heat wave.

Don't stay it's called 'Prison for a reason'

Two night stay: I called the hotel at 8:30 pm to say was stuck in traffic & would be arriving at 11:30 pm to be told that the hotel & restaurant would be completely closed at 9pm. The hotel offered to wait until 10pm, I said the earliest would be 11pm & was told there was no way in or out!!!!! I was also told that I received a message advising the hotel closed at 9pm. The message actually said no reception after 9pm. Nowhere did it state that the hotel was completely closed & there was no way of obtaining a key after this time. This was a two night stay & ended up booking a nearby Ibis. The hotel refused a refund for both nights. Absolutely shocking service. It's called Prison for a reason.

Le personnel très sympathique, très bien accueilli. par contre leur chambre, ne sont pas terrible: Très petite, matériel vieillissant (lampe, tête de lit). La sale de bain: il faut faire coulé l'eau pendant 10mn pour avoir de l'eau chaude. (pas très écolo). De plus leur lavabo est boucher. Les toilette très étroit. quand vous prenez la douche vous en mettez de partout. le lit quand a lui est très confortable. C'est bien dommage car le cadre du resto est très agréable.

Sur la présentation de l’hôtel, il n’est pas indiqué les horaires de réception. Il n’est pas non plus précisé si le parking est privé, ou si il s’agit d’un parking public Dans ce dernier cas, il faudrait que l’hôtel indique l’adresse du parking public pour éviter de se mal garer , ce qui m’est arrivé et j’ai failli prendre un PV. il a fallu que je me rende à Mairie pour nl’obtenir qu’un avertissement Une fois qu’on a réservé, il n’est pas indiqué le numéro de téléphone de l’hôtel,

Unieke locatie. Geslapen in oude cel van de gevangenis van Montagny. Geen venster, wel een beetje warm vanwege gebrekkige ventilatie in kamer 13. Het diner buiten op het plein was prima, we moesten wel 1,5 uur wachten (het was druk) op ons eten. Maar daarna liep het beter. Ontbijt was top. Zeker een aanrader voor hen, die op doorreis zijn.

Pas de flexibilité dans cet établissement

Bien qu’ayant contacté l établissement pour prévenir que mon arrivée serait aux alentours de 23h30/minuit, je n’ai pas pu y dormir. En effet, cette maison d’hôtes n’a pas voulu laisser le jeu de clés de ma chambre quelque part pour des raisons de sécurité et n’a pas pu me proposer de solution. J’ai donc du réserver une autre chambre dans un autre établissement à mes frais. Aucune alternative n’a été acceptée par l’établissement malgré mes suggestions.

super acceuil, chambre vraiment dans un cadre atypique et plaisant ( oui oui malgré l'ambiance carcérale :) ), personnel très souriant. Manque que la climatisation dans les cellules :) repas sur place rapide et très savoureux.
