Short Stay in Lynton

We had an amazing 2 night stay in Lynton and couldn’t have picked a better guesthouse . Drew and Penny are fantastic hosts and clearly care about keeping guests happy , they have a great knowledge of the local area and nothing was too much trouble The house interior looks fantastic and is a credit to their hard work renovating the property . Breakfast is to die for , it was all freshly cooked and local produce , we had no complaints and the dining room had a really pleasant atmosphere . We would recommend to anyone going to Lynton for a short stay and we will definitely be going back to South View on our next stay in Lynton . 10 out of 10 ! Will

Walking stop over

This accomodation was beyond excellent. from the ease of booking to the comfort of bedroom facilities through to the excellent breakfast. Drew was a fantastic host.

A great place to stay

Very friendly welcome from Drew and Penny. Great location. Fabulous breakfasts especially the fruit salad. Parking behind the house up a steep lane was not the easiest. On street parking up to 12.00 and after 4.00 would be my preferred choice next time unless I get better at hill starts!

Tired and wet walkers!

We arrived from the Coast Path wet and cold and Penny and Drew were very welcoming and friendly. We were given a room with a bath which was just what I needed! The room was clean, warm, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The bed was so comfy - I was asleep by 9 and slept for nearly 10 hours! Breakfast was delicious and again, we were made to feel very welcome. Thank you very much!!

Great experience

The South View Guest House is a lovely place, where everything is simply perfect. Drew was a great host, very chatty and helpful. Lynton and Lynmouth are absolutely amazing places with lots to offer. Can't wait to go back!

Pleasant stay

Pleasant stay in a comfortable guest house, new owners only been there for 4 weeks but are very nice and friendly. It wasn't the best cooked breakfast we've ever had but there was a good choice, fresh fruit salad was very nice. Pre-order breakfast the evening before. Good selection of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits in the room. Beds are comfortable and we slept well. Lynton and Lynmouth are very picturesque, quaint and quiet at night but enough places for a quiet drink in the evening.

Short stay

We enjoyed a lovely short break with coastal walks. Our hosts Drew and Penny were very welcoming and friendly. Small car park at the rear of the property, room very comfortably and excellent breakfasts. Would definitely stay again.

Great stay

Stay was good. Breakfast was good. Location was great for south west coastal path. Only negative was the room was very small but not an issue for us. Also highly recommend the new owner abondons the antiquated paper system for breakfast and invoices.

Service with a smile.

Owner was very friendly and accommodating. The morning breakfast was top class better than a lot of hotels I have stayed. Fresh hot and delicious, set me up for the day. Lovely place to stay.
