  • My dad's friend owns a really cool karting circuit in Pageas, a few kilometres from Chalus where I grew up in France. They are both hunters. I know this is not everyone's cup of tea, but a lot of people from that generation in rural France do like hunting, fishing, fetching mushrooms. There are woodlands all around the karting circuit. My dad and his friend have built some platforms in the trees, and from mid-October to mid-November they go there every morning to shoot migrating birds. Those ones are some sort of wood pigeons going from Eastern Europe / Russia to North Africa. I did my own shooting that morning... with my camera! The sunrise was spectacular with some nice pink colours and mist in the valley.

Petite nuit agréable

Accueil agréable, la chambre était propre, nécessaire de toilette dans la salle de bain. Très bonne literie et une nuit très calme. Le petit déjeuner continental proposé était très bien.

Excellent et paisible endroit. Hôtes tres accueillants et je recommande fortement une fois le point suivant réglé: Il est juste anormal (légal?) que les chambres ne puissent être fermée de l’intérieur. Cela expose la responsabilité de l’hote en cas de problème et, une erreur de la part d’un client, et vous avez un inconnu dans votre chambre. Il est trop simple et inexacte de dire au client, « ne vous inquiétez pas, il n’y a aucun risque. » J’aurais mieux dormi, sans cette petite ombre, facile à corriger, au tableau.
