About R7,300 (£64) a night for two inc excellent bespoke breakfast and buffet, via Hotels.com. Immaculate hotel in upmarket, but convenient area. Part of the Sarovar chain. Ir doesn’t have the historic feel the blurb alludes to, but it nonetheless does feel quite special. Uniformed staff greet one as you enter and leave. Lovely decor throughout. Rooms are first class: spacious and very well appointed. This would be several hundred pounds a night in Europe.

The location of the hotel is good and the staff is courteous and friendly. Although the stay was average because of couple of reasons - there was hardly any hot water for bath, it was always lukewarm and secondly on one night, the ACs were not working and we all had terrible sleep. The queen size bed for a couple with a kid is absolutely a no go!

Good hotel, but you need to be careful with staff.

This is a great hotel. Unfortunately, the front desk staff cannot be trusted. They blatantly tried to rip me off while checking out. I arranged a late checkout for an extra cost. I needed to vacate the room by 6:00 PM. I did so, at approximately 5:50 PM. I turned in the key to the front desk staff and informed them that I would be in the restaurant, and that they should prepare my bill. In the restaurant, I had a feeling that I should be careful to document that I left the room before 6:00 PM, so I took a picture at 5:58 PM in the restaurant with my iPhone. When I went back to the front desk to pay my bill, the front desk staff was argumentative, and tried to claim that I checked out after 6:00 PM and wanted to charge me the full day's rate for the room. I contested this and showed them the picture from the restaurant with the time stamp, and the front desk staff give up — they knew I had caught them.

Decent hotel close to everything

It was a nice clean hotel with food available all the time. They even have an early packed breakfast option (we used for the day we were flying out early morning). The staff was helpful. Things that could have been better - the food which wasn't bad but I expected better. One thing which was a little annoying was that since the hotel was on a busy street, taking the car out was really hard during rush hour and the hotel guard who was present didn't help.

It was great to receive hospitality and willingness to make clients happy. Breakfast offer is excellent. It is located in a shopping area and it may be one of the best hotels in Lucknow. However, wifi connection needs improvement.

Best hospitality experience

One of the best hospitality experience i have had in all of my journeys thru out the world.I felt amazingly welcomed from the point i entered into the hotel.Front office to Housekeeping staff everyone were pleasant, helpful ,courteous. Hotel is been maintained extremely well.its ambiance, decor everything was appealing. It is centrally located in a way that malls restaurants everything's at a walking distance.Thanks to the wonderful hospitality.

Hotel for tourists- not for business travelers

I traveled to Lucknow for business. My job requires good wifi connection and a basic business centre. My main disappointment was their terrible wifi connectivity. Although they claimed to have fast wifi. After I checked in, I could not find any wifi in my room, I had to actually carry my laptop to different rooms, in different floors, to find wifi connectivity. I did find a room with connectivity finally but the wifi kept fluctuating during my five day stay. It was a struggle to do international conference calls and I had to finally resort to ISD calls. I also found the front desk to be understaffed, particularly during the evenings and with check in rush. It caused unnecessary delays. I generally found staff to be polite and helpful within their means. I found this hotel to be ideal for families who can afford mid-range rooms. Not suitable for high flying professionals.
