Prima appartement, maar geen hotel

De appartementen liggen op een fraai en groot landgoed met 2 tennisbanen en groot zwembad. Landgoed is wat verwilderd omdat het naastgelegen hotel een paar jaar geleden is gesloten. Wij waren de enige gasten bij signor Guiseppe. Prima uitvalsbasis voor bezoeken aan Pisa en elders, ruim 5 minuten rijden naar centrum Lucca. Guiseppe is een charmante host die graag de beste restaurants in de omgeving aanwijst; maar verwacht geen verdere service. Appartementen zijn basic maar ruim.

Consigliato!

Bell'hotel, in ottima posizione nel verde, lontano dal caos e dal traffico, ma a pochissimi minuti di macchina da Lucca. Piccolissimo appunto da fare:le attrezzature della bellissima piscina erano un pò "trascurate" (poche sdraio, alcune rotte), un peccato per un hotel così bello.

Quirky - like a home

The villa feels like it was only recently converted to a hotel, the room was fine, the bathroom clean and well equipped. The restaurant was closed when we were there, but Lucca has so many wonderful places to eat this wasn't even slightly a problem. The linen felt a little old, and the beds were a little lumpy, but I would return. Not as glamorous as you might think, but nice enough. Breakfast was a bizarre selection, but the coffee was great. Well this is Tuscany

Verkligen inte 4-stjärnigt!

Hotellet vill ge ett exklusivt intryck men är snarare nedgånget, slitet och ofräscht. Ingen matservering fanns och frukosten var mycket dålig. Hotellet ligger fint men i övrigt har vi inget positivt att säga om detta hotell. Usel vägbeskrivning gjorde att vi åkte i fel riktning och letade efter hotellet i mer än en timma.

4 star-I don't think so!

Despite advertised as a 4 star hotel with restaurant and tea/coffee facilities in the room, we had none of these. Fortunately our stay was only 4 nights in this lack lustre hotel in need of a lot of TLC.

Not impressed

No restaurant at hotel as chef on holiday!! Hotel chosen as restaurant on site so disappointing as we had to travel to find a restaurant every evening. The breakfast left a lot to be desired - very basic. Lovely setting but generally seemed to be a bit run down and in need of some tlc!
