The room was clean and bed comfortable. The rooms are somewhat modern without charm but I would still recommend. Short walk to the walled city of Lucca and free public parking right in front of the hotel so very convenient. Breakfast was adequate with excellent made to order coffee. Good value 3 stars hotel.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Hotel San Marco The staff at every level were accommodating and pleasant. The hotel was very clean and well maintained with excellent linens and towels. From the moment we arrived the staff led by Fabio at the front desk welcomed us and offered all the assistance possible, through our entire visit until we were on our way out when Francesco helped with directions and suggestions. The property is very well kept and an excellent location.
