Excellent facilities. Room absolutely lovely. Comfortable beds. My husband loved the bedside radio. Staff lovely. Food excellent. The only reason I give a 4 out 5 is due to murky water in the kettle. I thought maybe during cleaning it may have had discalcer inside that cleaner forgot to rinse out. But otherwise I would highly recommend the Wherry and would definitely stay again

Staff very welcoming at reception, room looked a little tired, a very rusty radiator in the bathroom set the tone, ample parking, didn't have breakfast so can't comment but we did have the carvery which was delicious. Drinks were a little expensive, £12 for a pint of fosters and a small pinot. Wetherspoons not 2 far away hence the moan regarding drinks prices. we have visited many times before but now they are under new management. Location fantastic very central to lots of amenities.

We recently stayed in a king room overlooking the water and it was wonderful. The room and bathroom were both spotless . It was the hottest day of the year so the windows were already open before we got there along with a fan that I requested so the room was at a sleepable temperature. Breakfast was a buffet which we also really enjoyed. The staff were very friendly and I would definitely stay here again.

Well we have really enjoyed our stay here at The Wherry Hotel. Check in was easy, our room overlooked the water and was very comfortable. Tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer, toiletries, fans and a radio all included. The hotel is getting tired in places, it does need some tlc in some areas and there was one staircase that did have a nasty smell. However on the whole the main areas and our room was well maintained and clean. Breakfast was very good, mainly full English but fruit, croissants, cereals and yoghurts on request. Bar food was extremely well priced and tasty. Huge selection of drinks available. The location of this hotel is amazing. The views are incredible and there is a lovely park for a stroll just adjacent. Wasn’t expecting entertainment when we booked but there was a Madness style tribute act on right below our bedroom window and they were so good! Finished at 10 so no disruption to sleep. Lots of parking available. All in all a very nice hotel.

Welcoming helpful staff. Late-Afternoon meal needed re-cooking after not being cooked to requested quality. On return to hotel after a theatre show, found the bar already closing at 22:20 - rather early. Room was basic but clean enough. Bathroom radiator was very tatty, spoiling otherwise clean bathroom.

This Hotel is an old building. The room was modern and generally well-appointed, but the big problem was heat. The weather had been hot for some time and the first room I was given was unbearably hot, with two fans stirring the hot air around and the (South facing) window only able to open about 100mm. The carvery was good with a wide range of vegetables and meat carved for you. Breakfast was not included and I was disappointed at the one-cost for all, whether you only wanted a continental style or full English.
