The Y On Broadway

"We absolutely loved our stay at the Y Hotel in Jim Thorpe! We stayed in the Rustic Double with our two tween-aged kids, and the room was spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The amenities were great, especially the steamer, which was such a nice touch. Everything was clean, and the continental breakfast was fresh and convenient. But the best part of our stay was, without a doubt, the staff. “Friendly” almost doesn’t do them justice. Everyone was so welcoming and helpful, but I especially want to recognize Will, who worked at night. He is one of the kindest, most personable, and genuine people I’ve ever met. He was truly one of a kind! My kids actually asked him to play a game with us, which says everything about how comfortable and welcomed he made our family feel. The location is fantastic. It’s right in the heart of town, with everything within easy walking distance. Having parking available was also a huge plus. We highly recommend Yhotel and will absolutely be back!"

"Pros: The housekeeping staff (especially Gina) were outstanding. Room was spotless & well stocked with paper goods & towels. The pool & seating areas were well-maintained. Included breakfast was excellent. Renovated rooms were beautiful, beds & pillows very comfy, shower strong & hot. HVAC unit was functional & quiet. Iron & blow dryer in room for convenience. Cons: Wi-Fi is unsecured. No drawers for clothing, only small closet w/some hangers. Tiny microwave & mini-fridge, no freezer. Located on side of commercial highway, lots of diesel fumes & smoke, very noisy outdoor areas. Road construction directly behind hotel as well. Concrete divider on highway prevents left turns towards Jim Thorpe town. Service desk not helpful in any way after check-in. Stayed a few days, never saw a Manager."

"What a lovely place. Centered on the Main Street of town and easily walked to all major attractions, except Jim Thorpe Burial site. The hotel was well updated with all conveniences you would expect in a modern hotel. We had a front room overlooking the street. The only negative was there is a balcony across the front of the hotel and people sat right in front of our windows and you could hear them talking. But it would go quiet by 10 o’clock at night. And we did spend a few hours out there enjoying the activities. We didn’t mind the activities out there at all and met several interesting people. The hotel restaurant was perhaps the best restaurant in town and was reasonably priced. Service was outstanding and friendly. We would stay here again if we decide to come back in the future."
Hillcrest Bed and Breakfast

"The innkeeps at Hillcrest are new to their position, but delightful friendly people who are willing to chat and share a meal with their guests. The home is clean and well-kept. It is clearly an older building, but in a manner that evoked charm, not in a run-down way. No weird "old house" smells. Common areas are clean and decor runs towards antique and timeless rather than cluttered and tacky. It was a lovely place to visit with fun people running the establishment. We enjoyed a home-cooked breakfast and the mini-fridge in the dining room was always stocked with snacks. Coffee was also at the ready with a kuerig and a basket of k-cups, While the location is quiet, it is outside of the downtown area and is not easy to talk to/from and parking in town is a bit of a nightmare. Parking at the home is limited. There are two spots across the alley that are marked with a small sign for the Hillcrest and a garage (unmarked from what we could see, but it was the garage closest to the house) which people parked behind."

"The owners were so nice, and accommodating. We checked out late due to my baby oversleeping and needing to eat breakfast. They were very nice and helpful! Definitely recommend 10/10. "
