「Friendly welcome. Assigned room next to fellow travellers as requested. Wonderful spacious cosy room with luxurious toiletries. Very comfortable and nicely decorated. Reasonably priced evening meal - though small portions were huge! Lovely breakfast, with choice from 3 cooked as well as cereals and toast. Lovely stay. 」

「No one in shop or office to report issues to, I txt the owner on Friday morning & they didn’t even open it until after we left on Saturday morning. No bathroom lights working, no outside light by hot tub and no covering over it to protect from weather/trees, so it was not used. No heating for night time so the hut was really cold, it was a good job I took extra bedding. 」

「Extremely pleasant and accommodating staff. Room was clean and warm as was the en-suite. Bed was very comfortable. Plenty of various tea and coffee sachets available in addition to milks and sweeteners etc. Breakfast was freshly cooked to liking. Although I had no problem parking, the car park is small with limited street parking opposite, which potentially could be an issue during busy periods. Overall, staying at The Talbot was an excellent experience. 」

「The property was as beautiful as it was in the pictures with lovely grounds and the hot tub was the icing on the cake. Unfortunately though, the outside of the property was swarming with wasps so unable to keep doors and windows open and nor could you fully relax in the hot tub. My partner got stung on the first night. Also there was a trap in the corner of the bedroom which made us feel uneasy sleeping at night. And the window above the bed did not have a blackout blind so was woken early...

「I booked on behalf of one of our engineers, who found the cabin to be very dirty with little to no hot water, and infestation of insects and no WIFI as mentioned in the accommodation list. The front door also would not close or lock due to the door being so badly warped, and I had to book alternative accommodation as it was not suitable. I contacted the booking agent to complain and provided photos, and they were unable to get hold of the host. When they did eventually get hold of them, they...

「The cottage was spotless and faultless so much provided for and more. A lively welcome with homemade bara brith cake, milk, tea, coffee and sugar, fresh eggs. I could go on lusting the amazing amount of things provided. Eileen is a lovely lady and nothing is too much trouble even offering to do our washing. She is a very special person. 」
