The hotel needs a refresh! Carpet was thread bare and the stairs leading to the beach were in desperate need of a good cleaning. All little things that add up to a not so good rating. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. Buffet breakfast was good.

The hotel and the service was really nice. The breakfast and the dinner were delicious. We enjoyed our visit. Just a small problem was the room, it was clean but old and we weren‘t able to open the window, it was locked. The best wishes from us!

Clean and comfortable on the banks of the sea

STAFF The service is impeccable, attentive and extremely friendly. Nothing is a problem, everything easily and promptly sorted. ROOM Comfortable beds. We had a large one with dining area, two bathrooms, large balcony and amazing closet space. Coffee machine and pods offered. Frigobar. CONDITIONS Very clean. It is not new and has been given a very good makeover in the paintwork and decoration, but signs of age are noticeable in the bathroom facilities, broken hydro massage shower, and details in the 70s decoration around the building. LOCATION Sea front, our room had a wonderful view. Hotel has its own beach with access via several steps. 5 minutes walk from the center of the village, with restaurants, bars and ice cream shops. 10 minutes walk from a supermarket. The hotel is on the cliff, and has step free access to a beautiful oceanfront promenade. PRIVATE BEACH On the edge of the Adriatic, then cement and stones. Large number of sun beds and umbrellas. They have a small shallow beach and a large space reserved for diving directly from the edge. Lots of fish, very peaceful to float on inflatable toys. The hotel offers space to store floating toys, SUPs, etc. FOOD The buffet has mild variety, but like all buffet systems, nothing is as delicious or as good as an a la carte. But the price including dinner was an excellent value. Drinks are delicious. SPA The spa looks fantastic, spacious, airy, a giant heated pool, spacious sauna (swimming costume not allowed).

If you dont want to park in the garage you need to fi d a space in the xity which is really random, up the hill and tight. Room cleaning was not good even after telling. For kids there is not that much fun on the pool, only pool without slide etc. At the beach the chairs are reserved by people which are not there early in the morning. As the space is very limited it is hard to get a space at all. Food is excellent. During dinner there are no drinks included, not even water, drinks are very expensive.

Ho soggiornato all’Hotel Excelsior – Liburnia dal 20 al 22 settembre 2025 e, pur conoscendo bene la Croazia e avendo già alloggiato in questo hotel in passato, questa è stata la peggiore esperienza di sempre. Sono stato sistemato in una stanza ricavata nel vano scale, rumorosa fin dalle prime ore del mattino a causa del passaggio del personale e degli ospiti. Una sistemazione simile è del tutto indegna di un hotel classificato come 4 stelle. Il disagio è stato tale da costringermi a cambiare struttura, pur avendo comunque pagato l’intero importo. Un soggiorno che doveva essere piacevole si è trasformato in una grande delusione. Sconsiglio vivamente questo hotel: mancanza totale di rispetto per i clienti e standard non all’altezza della categoria dichiarata.

Letűnt korok árnyéka már csak

A hotel valaha jobb napokat látott, de most már kikezdte az idő. Rozsdás a korlát, hiányzik a kilincs, ázik a fal. a szobák berendezése felűjításra került és a lobby bútorzata is 10 éven belüli, de a hanyatlás látható érezhető. Reggelinél a 3 kávéautomatából 2 rossz ezért hosszú sorok kígyóznak a gép előtt. A személyzet széttárja a karját. Ez van. a másik kettő rossz. Megoldás nincs. kb 20 perc, hogy kávét ihass. A szobánk mellett volt a légkondi központi része. Még szerencse, hogy füldugóval alszom. Rettenetesen hangos.

Wir waren für eine Woche im Hotel Excelsior. Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber und modern eingerichtet. Wir hatten ein Zimmer zum Meer gebucht, was ich unbedingt empfehle, da hinten raus eine sehr stark befahrene Straße ist. Die freundlichen Mitarbeiter sprechen teilweise deutsch, die meisten Englisch wir konnten uns sehr gut verständigen. Das Frühstücks und Abendbuffet ist abwechslungsreich und es hat uns immer sehr gut geschmeckt. Die Getränke fanden wir teilweise sehr hochpreisig. Liegen sind wie in jedem Hotel meist reserviert, wir hatten immer Glück und haben unter den Pinien noch Liegen bekommen. Sehr schön fanden wir den Fußweg direkt am Meer entlang man kann sehr schöne lange Spaziergänge in die benachbarten Orte machen oder auf einen der Bänke Platz nehmen und das Meer genießen.

Die Lage der Unterkunft ist richtig nah am Meer. Allerdings gibt es jeden Morgen einen Liegenkampf. Dadurch sind manche Menschen dort sehr egoistisch und klauen Schirme oder Liegen, sobald man ins Wasser geht und keiner Überwacht das. Die Unterkunft selbst ist gut geschnitten, jedoch sehr heruntergekommen. Dusche uralt und kaputt, Toilettensitze wackeln oder sind so nah an der Wand, dass das Drehen fast unmöglich ist. Die Matratzen sind sehr angenehm und die Kissen auch. Beim Schlafen gab es keinerlei Probleme. Das allerschlimmste war der Geruch nach Abfluss im Bad. Die Löcher sind improvisorisch unprofessionell mit einer Folie abgeklebt, jedoch sammelt sich dort ein sehr schlimmer Geruch, als ob man im Dixi Klo leben würde. Die Aufzüge zu den Stoßzeiten, naja, lieber die Treppe nehmen. Überfüllt und Wartezeit an die 5-8 Minuten. Beim Essen gibt es viel gute Auswahl. An den Getränken wird auch viel Geld gemacht. Sprite 0,2L = 4,50€ Parkplätze in der Umgebung ist Katastrophe. Man traut sich nicht mit Auto wegzufahren, weil man keinen Platz mehr findet. Parkhaus im Hotel leider nur auf 20 Plätze mit Vorreservierung begrenzt und 17€ pro Tag auch übertrieben teuer.

Die Halbpension ist definitiv nichts für Vegetarier, das Personal nett, aber leider alles andere als flexibel und die Zimmern zwar nicht sauber aber gemütlich. Für den geringen Preis den wir bezahlt haben darf ich mich nicht beschweren, um einen "normalen" Preis würd ich's aber auf keinen Fall buchen.
