「We were heading out very early one morning for a tour and because breakfast was not served until 8:30 we would have missed it. They left everything in the fridge se we could help ourselves to breakfast very early. Very much appreciated. Susanna was wonderful and made us a fire and was very welcoming.」

「We are a family of 5 with 3 kids under 12. We visited in March and it was very quiet/serene. Portovella has a beautiful view of the Douro. Riverside walk is just several steps down a hill. Photos don’t do it justice because it is so breathtaking in person. The comfort suite was the perfect size with 2 bathroom ensuites and a powder room. View from the suite was incredible. Just plan ahead if you’re staying on a Sunday as many restaurants were closed but we found a gem in Cinfaes - Sabores e...
