Nice old southern house with high ceilings and wood creaking floors that are uneven. Bed was clean and comfortable , I slept well.
However, the bedroom door did not shut, it was swollen and didn't fit into door. Bathrooms had hook and loop locks. TV was not operating and not connected to WiFi.
Breakfast was not delicious and having breakfast with people you don't know that have bad table manners isn't a turn off.
There is a nice town park walking path behind the house.
Just park your car in the grass there isn't enough parking here for more than 2 vehicles.
This was the sweetest little bed and breakfast. Regina was the best host! The house was beautiful. Breakfast was delicious! I will definitely be a repeat customer.
Regina was the ultimate hostess. Rooms were lovely. She provided a beautiful breakfast in the morning. Super nice and friendly. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again if I was in the area.
Driving up to the property was grand. Inside of the house is breathtaking. It was peaceful and comfortable. Our hostess was very welcoming and an absolute fabulous cook. I will revisit again and again, as it felt like going home to family.
This was an unexpected treasure. Regina goes above and beyond to be attentive and hospitable. She has thoughtfully provided comfortable room and board, you just feel like an honored guest. She cooked an amazing fresh breakfast and catered to our timing and tastes. It is off the beaten path, quiet and peaceful. I will choose it again the next time I stay in Louisville.
If I am ever doing something between Louisville and Lexington, I will be visiting Regina. This house was well-designed as a true BNB with excellent access/security, thoughtful decor, and an extremely welcoming atmosphere. The reviews praising the breakfast are true - but don't just go for the biscuits and gravy, go for the full experience.
For my first time visiting in Kentucky, I’m glad I picked to stay at Regina’s Country Living. Hostess : Top notch hospitality; Regina looked out for everyone who stayed for the Kentucky Derby event like a mother. Our breakfast was homemade each morning, and it definitely brought back memories with of my grandma for Sunday and Christmas breakfast specials.
Room/Home : Regina’s home had so much old southern world charm that had it not been so cool outside, that drinking a Mint Julep on the porch would have been a pleasant experience. I stayed in the “ King’s Room “, my bed was huge and the covers were soft and inviting. I slept good everyday I was there and I slept really good after the Derby. Each room had a story to tell and I’d especially liked the sky light in the family room. The park adjacent to the house is such a nice addition for anyone who just wants to take a walk or run. It’s perfect if you bring a dog with you on your stay as well.
Thank you, Regina for opening up your home and being an amazing woman. Thank you for sharing an amazing friendly dinner with me at the Mexican restaurant and making sure a solo traveler felt like family even if it was for a few days. Looking forward to next year’s Kentucky Derby at your Bed and Breakfast.
