On a business trip, our owner reports his room was clean and contained what he needed. The bed, however, was uncomfortable. Location was okay and he had a good night's sleep.
Returning guest. The location is right off of the freeway. The parking is easy as you get to park right in front of your room. Staff was still just as friendly and the room was excellent; spacious, clean and comfortable. Just what we needed. Would continue to recommend.
Easy check in. Staff was kind and welcoming. The room itself was also cute and comfortable. The only thing I didn't like was that the ceiling fan was missing the pull string to turn on the fan but it was no big deal, the air conditioner cooled the room off. Would recommend and would stay here again.
Room was clean and neat. Staff was nice and air conditioning was perfect. Even though it was a staycation it was so relaxing. And it was safe just like the attendant had stated.
Perfect for a solo traveler or couple looking for an affordable stay with many of the room amenities you could think of. Needed a place to stay that was more affordable than the other venues around Yosemite, without compromising on quality and comfort.
It is comprised of single story bungalows. The property is small, but well maintained. The room was clean and everything was as expected. I did not have any interaction with the staff, except for getting checked in...and then we left the next morning before they were officially open. There also aren't any other amenities, like a pool, but we never seem to have time for that anyways.
(They don't offer, and we weren't expecting, a complimentary breakfast, but nowadays, most of the hotels that claim to offer a "breakfast" just have some packaged biscuit and bad coffee. So, one is really better off, staying in a hotel that does not offer the "complimentary" breakfast, and just getting some yogurt, fruit & pasteries from the closest grocery store.)
Everything in the room worked, including the HVAC, which is surprising since even in the big "name brand" hotels, their HVAC typically doesn't work very well, or only gives heat or cooling, but not both. The HVAC in our room provided blessed relief from the heat and humidity so typical of August in Merced.
The only possible negative is that there is some freeway noise, just a whisper. Even so, I think this will be our next stay in Merced.
