Terrible experience after a long drive – rude and unhelpful
I arrived at the hotel around 1:30 AM with my 3 children after driving for nearly 12 hours. I had a confirmed reservation through Expedia for two rooms: one listed as 1 adult and 1 child, the other as 1 adult and 2 children — all clearly stated in the booking details, including the children's ages.
Despite this, the front desk rudely told me, “I can’t take 3 people in one room,” and refused to check us in. I explained that I booked through Expedia and that everything was properly listed, but he completely ignored what I said and didn’t even try to help or find a solution. Instead, we were turned away at 1:30 in the morning with three tired kids.
I ended up finding another hotel at 2:30 AM and had to pay around $100 more because of this unacceptable treatment.
This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. If I could give the lowest rating possible, I would. I’ve been using Expedia for years and have never encountered something like this. I will also file an official complaint through Expedia, and I will never stay at a hotel from this group again.
