We try to be transparent about our fees and when booking with us through Expedia, the price quote does include the fees and mentions that it is paid at the property. We also mention our parking fees on our website and try to be competitive with other establishments in the Downtown Santa Monica area.

All the staff were very friendly and courteous....from the initial check-in process, to the valet, and the cleaning staff.....each providing a very warm feeling of welcome at all hours of the day. Kudos to the management for keeping your employees happy. Your personnel is what sets your establishment at that "next level".

Excellent choice for Santa Monica, we have stayed at other hotels in the area and the amenities included are worth the price. The resort fee is very reasonable for bike rentals, gym access on Third Street (rooftop gym was awesome), and Nespresso coffee on demand. Also, there is an option to save a few dollars a day by foregoing room cleaning under their environmental program. The ocean view of the room was incredible and it was the reason why this place was initially chosen. It can be loud at night, but that is expected in a busy high-traffic area. The staff was very helpful and receptive to any requests, and the hotel was immaculate. We would recommend this location based on overall value and walkability to enjoy Santa Monica.

We absolutely LOVED this hotel. It’s an older property that has been updated beautifully. Our first contact with staff was the valet in the garage. I was nervous about parking but it was so easy, breezy. And the valet was patient with my chaos and questions. The parking garage is light, bright, and felt safe. You walk into the hotel from the valet and enter their GORGEOUS lobby. And that’s where we were greeted by two desk clerks who were calm, happy, helpful. The whole vibe said, “Ok, mama… you are on vacation now. RELAX.” So I did. The safety of the hotel is wonderful. You need a keycard to use the elevator. I loved that. When you step off the elevator you are greeted by an open air tranquility garden. This Montana girl was obsessed with. We walked into our room and it was exactly as advertised: clean, simple, beautiful. And the most amazing view of Ocean Ave, the sea line and the Santa Monica Pier. We had the best time eating our Joe’s Pizza Place on the balcony & people watching as the sun set. I’m writing this review from my hotel room bed, watching the sunrise. The sheets are soft and for me the beds are the perfect firmness. (As opposed to too soft). The bathroom: a shower head that feels like you’re standing in a warm rain downpour, ocean scented toiletries, BIG towels. A . Overall a charming & delightful stop on our trip to LA! Will definitely return!

Staff were incredible. We got a complimentary upgrade to an ocean view room and a delivered care package with a hand written card welcoming our family to the hotel, what a nice touch. Family trip (two rooms, two nights)
This hotel had a cice ocean view, perfect location, and good cleaning staff, but we have some complaints. We couldn't get adjacent rooms. One of the rooms we rented had a lot of noise from downstairs late at night. The valet parking people are unfriendly and/or unavailable. The parking was quadruple charged incorrectly which we had to correct at checkout. The parking area was very small so we couldn't turn around or maneuver properly. The shower head not comfortable. Also the water temperature was impossible to control. It as always too hot or too cold.

A hot shower is a no-go. It's nice and warm, then turns freezing cold for a solid 90 seconds. Miserable experience after a long drive and day of travel. My 17-year-old daughter just found nose buggars on her comforter, so we are now in one double bed. Not sure that I'll trust Expedia again. Sad.

This hotel does not meet the quality-price standard. You can hear everything that happens in the other rooms. The smell of marijuana is unbearable in the corridors, excessive price of parking. The location is very good until you receive the taxes for each day you stay at this hotel.

Overall the stay was fine, but when I arrived in the evening the reception worker didn't say welcome or have a smile for me. Not a big deal, but its still nice to get that. I found the room to be a little too close to the road. Other than that everything was fine. The place was clean. I had some issue with the heating in my room but they were quick to attend to it (the day staff seemed more service oriented).

Beautiful hotel on Santa Monica beach! Shout out to Eva who was amazing at check in and otherwise! I really love the Nespresso coffee in room, so much more eco friendly. Real cups would be even better. If you’re staying on a weekend, bring ear plugs because there is a night scene here that’s impressive.
