This is a beautiful hotel right next to the main plaza with lots of stores, restaurants etc., so great location. Very clean and updated property with pool area and breakfast served daily. Wonderful choice for a great stay!

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel 1697. The location is excellent, right on the main square. It's tucked away so you feel like you are in a quiet oasis. The property is charming, and the rooms are spacious. We enjoyed the included breakfast each morning by the pool. The staff was lovely. We hope to return soon.

PROS: The 2 ladies that cook breakfast and then clean the rooms were awesome! Alex at the front desk was great, too! Very friendly and helpful. Very clean room and pool area. Boutique style hotel so much smaller that most (which we loved!). CONS: Hard bed.....very hard bed. Talked to other guests with same issue. You have to leave resort and go to restaurant next door for any extra food, drinks, even ice.

This place is charming and in the perfect location right in the heart of old Loreto adjacent to almost everything. 2 blocks to the water. Think there are only about 8 rooms in the entire place so it's no overcrowded at all. Breakfast is included and has eggs to order, fresh fruit cups, bananas, yogurt and toppings, refried beans, toast, juices and coffee. Will definitely stay here again if we return and recommend it to anyone headed to Loreto.

Excellent communication from owner/operator and superb staff interactions. Awesome location tucked away off the corner of the town square and primary tourist pedestrian walkway. Very clean, well-maintained and organized! Good WiFi connection and breakfast service, great fit for an active traveler. Only downside from my perspective was lack of a desk in the room and limited hot water (about 2-3 minutes worth).
