Has exactly what's needed, not your fancy resort but if you are heading to go fishing or to the islands it's perfect. It's also a convenient location, everything is close! Small town feel.
The view of the sea and beach were great! The hotel is unique and very walkable to shops and restaurants. The hosts did not speak english, but we were able to communicate effectively through google translate. In case there are light sleepers in your party, our air conditioning unit did make a decent amount of clicking noises that could affect your sleep and the pillows are very thin. But other than that, the room was comfortable and clean. We enjoyed our stay!

Liked: Cleanliness
Disliked: Amenities
ACross from the marina convenient for fishermen. But no parking. No pillow covers. Lobby was upstairs a flight of 20 steps with luggage. But Bathrooms were nice and clean. Cooling was very good. For the money, it was a pretty fair deal.
We had a booking at this hotel for many months and then without explanation. the hotel cancelled it on us. I have read other reviews in a similar vein. So we had to book somewhere else. Part way through our trip, our plans changed and we had to come back to Loreto (Really nice town to be fair) and had to book a hotel for the very same day. We were setting off afterbooking on WIFI and had no signal until we got to El Faro. Would our booking still be valid or would they cancel on us again? They didn't cancel and we had a lovely one night stay. The road outside can get noisy with cars driving by playing loud music throughout the evening but the room was nice with a great shower and wifi.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Room comfort
Lady was wonderful working there. But overall the stay was very uncomfortable. it was loud outside as you were right on the Malecon and you hear people cruising late night. The sheets are very thin and the hotel just needs a remodel. There was a horrible sewage smell mixed with cleaning solutions and that just made it a little difficult to sleep. The view is great the location is great. Also, the lights are on all night out on the deck, which makes the room kind of bright. I don’t clean the hotel for the level it got better after 11 PM. But it would be nice if they put more comfortable and thicker blankets on the bed and the bathroom has one little bar of soap and some head and shoulder shampoo packs. But like I said the wonderful woman working there let us check out a little later and was so kind. I think that whole area has some sewage problems but at times in the lobby it was hard to breathe. I’m not sure I would stay here again, but if you can get a good price on the room unlike we did it would be good value.

Liked: Staff & service
Property is located conveniently near shoreline, attractions, and restaurants. Property has only stair entrance and no elevator so be mindful if you're traveling with luggage or have mobility issues. Thermostat in shower provides lukewarm or icy water flow. Beds were comfy. Staff were attentive and respectful of guest during quiet hours. However, I did have issues with my rooms door lock. There's a self-service station in the lobby for coffee or tea.
When arrived, the rooms reserved through Expedia were less than optimal. When upgraded, I was asked by the hotel to cancel and rebook. I was charged double, plus
the no-cancelation room.
I was very disappointed in the size of the room. It was smaller than my single room probably less than 12 x 10‘. There was no chair to sit in nor somewhere to put our luggage so I actually tripped over it twice. The walk up to our room was crazy for my physically challenged girlfriend. We were tired, we took the room and then left the next day for La Paz. I was surprised instead of the first that I had in writing they charge me about $10 more Without explanation. Standard room I believe is a candidate for bait and switch.
