The staff were incredible in all areas; warm, helpful, and insightful. I will quite likely return to the hotel in the Summer. All facilities were immaculate and the restaurant was fantastic.

Lovely property, with well decorated spaces. The room was quite large, with a very comfortable bed and a good shower. Picture perfect views from windows. Staff really welcoming, and happy to offer advice for dining options / local insider knowledge. Very good breakfast.

Best hotel writhin 1500 miles 😊

absolutely first rate hotel and service, One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. A bit pricey, but quality was unmatched. Perfect location, Far enough outside of town to avoid the masses of tourists, but close enough to walk within 10 minutes. Restaurant/food was amazing, but menu was a bit short.

Hotel is on a quiet spot which is not very far away from the centre. Staff are very helpful and the breakfast is amazing. Would still choose Funken lodge for next visit.

So good. The staff is amazing, the hotel is beautiful and so lovely that its out of the main town, feels special and has a nice view. The bar menu is amazing, the steak sandwich is so so good. Short walk to town.

Best hotel in svalbard

Great hptel, cozy in the dark Svalbard winter! Went into some of the other hotels in svalbard and this was definetly thebest, cozy, great staff who were very helpful, and a good breakfast!

Awesome little hotel with great staff! Very comfy beds and a great breakfast buffet daily. We loved the cozy seating arounds on the main floor to relax and hang out in, would definitely recommend this hotel for your trip to Svalbard!

Bit of luxury in the Arctic Circle

Had a lovely stay. Team were really friendly and helpful. Would recommend. Free snack 16 00-17.00 wity coffee or tea was a lovely touch. There was a reindeer outside our window most days, which was beautiful to see. Bed very comfy and great shower.
