"It is the Queen Mary. She is 91 years old. You are going to be staying there for the historic value, or if you are a marine/naval enthusiast. The hotel stay essentially includes admission for the length of your stay, meaning you will have basically parts of boat all to yourselves for plenty of photo opportunities. Enjoy sunrise and sunset onboard; great colours for those who chase golden hours. Check-out is at 11 AM, but they don't kick you out until they close again, or until your parking pass expires at 4 PM. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The restaurants close at 8 PM. The lounge closes at 10 PM, and last call for the kitchen was about 9:15. Plenty of water dispensers onboard. Ice machines and vending machines are also available.
Rooms are obviously old, but they are clean. The ship gets cool at night from central conditioning, but they said extra blankets are available on requests.
The metallic walls do let sound travel, but guests are made aware and it was quiet after 10 PM.
Would definitely stay on board again. Thank you for keeping the last of her kind super ocean liner available for the public."
