I very much regret that the location of the apartment was not where you wanted. I did make a great deal of effort, long before your arrival, to offer a more suitable location, which you chose not to accept. I regret that your review is based on an apartment you did not use and a stay for which we refunded you from the time you returned the keys to us.

Had we been aware of your concerns about the apartment during your stay, we would gladly have sent one of the team to rectify them right away. I believe that the smoke detector had been disabled by the previous guest and we have now rectified that, of course. Our sincere apologies again for the unavoidable situation in some disappointment for you. We are doing our utmost to ensure that this, and the reasons for it, cannot recur.

Clearly, what you describe is not our normal standard and our Operations Manager has investigated thoroughly and taken the action necessary to prevent any possible repetition of any of the points mentioned.

However, you have entirely the wrong understanding in believing us to be insincere and providing misleading information. Our intentions and the normal experience of our guests could not be more different. We have 40 apartments in central London and the growth of our business up to now and in the future is heavily dependent on us taking good care of our guests with all sincerity and, of course, in providing everything our guests should reasonably expect and which we claim to provide.

We take such feedback very seriously and do wish you had let us know details during your stay as many of these concerns could have been resolved very quickly by our full time Housekeeping team.
