Brief stay to visit the garden and nearby family. It was a great location for the garden and there is a small shopping area just down the street with food, coffee, and some stores (all near the tube station). It is further to Richmond's center and we took an uber (train would have worked, too).
Staff were friendly and we had a great lunch in the restaurant.
The room was definitely showing some wear. It didn't come across as dirty, but perhaps time for a little refresh and touch-up. The free wifi is actually the town's public wifi from what we can tell. It worked, mostly. Certainly not the fastest and you have to register (though it is free).
The sheets did have a heavy fragrance (assuming from the detergent?) that was a little irritating to our sinuses. If you have bad allergies, I could see it being an issue.
