「Dianne went out of her way to be helpful at all steps of our stay. Great parking facilities, great shower, comfy bed. Everything needed was provided and well thought through. We were able to arrange to collect the keys early as we were due at a wedding and Dianne went out of her way to help us arrange a taxi booking to and from the venue nearby.
Breakfast was varied and plentiful.」

「I needed an overnight stay en route to scotland . Cartref was easy to get to from M6 and felt clean and cosy. Traffic was a little noisy ( I had to open window due to heatwave) but the host thoughtfully supplied earplugs as well as various other "extras " for myself and the dog. Shared bathroom was clean and easily accessible. I would recommend Cartref if visiting Carlisle or just passing through and i would certainly consider staying here again if in the area.」

「I stayed for one night and appreciated having an affordable place close to the station, with plenty of shops nearby. I was also happy to find a kettle with coffee and tea, which made for a fresh and pleasant morning. The only downside was that there was no hand soap or shampoo provided, which would have made the stay more comfortable. Overall, I’m satisfied with what I received for the price and happy with my stay」

「Aberdour is a lovely little old gem in an idyllic neighborhood, close to the train station. It’s run by the inimitable Amanda, who is the best host I’ve ever met. The place is older, and a bit frayed- but in the way the Velveteen Rabbit is frayed. It’s a lovely old place, simple, clean and cared for, and I was immediately made to feel that I was also cared for. The beds are comfortable.
