We a received a call on the day of our booking to say the room we had booked was unavailable due to flooding, which is understandable.
We were offered a room in another of their properties and were told it was of a similar standard due to refurbishment, on arrival this was definitely not the case.
When we complained, we were told we should deal with issue, to which we informed them that was their responsibility. When we walked up to the original hotel around 8.30pm suddenly a room had become available but only for one night of our stay. The room was an upgrade and we were given that and a free drink. We had a conversation about a refund for the 2nd night and were told to claim from Expedia, we told them that wasn't our responsibility as they had claimed our money from Expedia on check in. After a phone call they agreed to pay that back for the second night.
When checking out, the member of staff said they hadn't seen the other property recently, to which we said it's not fair to tell people they are of a similar quality and offer as an option to their hotel.
The room we were given was excellent and very comfy, the breakfast and service was nice in the morning, we were given free parking.
A disappointment to what should of been a nice weekend in a nice hotel
