Hosts were friendly and accommodating. Comfy bed. Large room. My visit was to go to Liverpool City and Hill Dickinson Stadium. This property is an easy walk to the train station.

great accommodation BUT no breakfast!

we have used this guest house in the past great location for us to visit family.however on this occasion the facility of a breakfast has been removed I believe it should have been made known to us as I would have used an alternative that included breakfast at the same price.

Really lovely guest house in a fantastic area of Liverpool. Several amazing bars and restaurants within 5 mins walk and a cinema at the end of the road. Very quite street, lovely building and huge rooms. Will be staying there again for sure.

Lovely clean guest house , situated 10 min walk to the train station which takes you to Liverpool central , lots of restaurants and pubs up the road , would definitely recommend this guest house to friends and family .

Advertised as a b&b but no breakfast available. Good size room, no wardrobe or hangers, just coat hooks. No dressing table but there was a hairdryer. Tea making facilities. No toiletries in shower, just hand gel on washbasin. Had to telephone if we required anything.

Only thing good was Location

When you rent a room it should have heat in it so the customer can have it on if needed. Just because it's hot outside doesn't mean the room is warm enough for the people staying in the room. So I am not happy with this place and won't stay again.

I wasn't keen on the woodlice which may live under the shower, using the gap in the base of the shower. One hand gel is provided, so a guest must remember to switch it to and fro. The television remote's battery was replaced immediately on request. Spacious rooms with plenty of towels.

Not ideal for me, it started when I arrived and found out breakfast was not available, had I known this I would have booked somewhere else, also the room I was in number 10, the heating did not work, so was really cold all weekend, the kettle took about 20 minutes to boil, the shower and hot water in the sink took ages to heat up. They could be doing with some outside lights in the car park, as the stairs are dark and dangerous without lighting. The Internet did not work in the rooms, and if you wanted anything you had to call a mobile number to get it.

extremely quiet & peaceful, yet near a main road

The owner greeted us on arrival, friendly and welcoming. Nice place on a quiet street near a main road and amenities. It was very hot during our stay and although we slept with our windows open we could not hear the traffic. Our host volunteered a fan, which somewhat alleviated the heat, but staying in the top room under the roof, the room was very hot at night. I loved the décor - particularly the cubist paintings (?). The room was clean as was the house throughout. There was noise from a pump or something similar, coming from the room next to ours, but that seemed to be thoughtfully switched off at night (without needing to be requested). Very minor, it seemed near on impossible to get the shower head to retain its upright position. As for eco-friendly, I really don't know, as that wasn't something I was looking for and that is why I've only scored in middling. It's definitely value for money and a place I wouldn't hesitate to stay at again, nor hesitate to recommend it. The real downside was the nearest cafe for breakfast didn't open until 9 am. For early risers this could be a negative. Early risers wishing to do a good run, do have the beach amenities within reach of a good run and the lanes around the house are leafy green. There are a selection of good places to eat nearby. May I recommend a short walk nearby on South Road, particularly before and BEYOND the railway station.

We choose this property based on the reviews, location and price. When we arrived everything went smooth except there was no indication that our room was on the upper floor and there was no access to a lift or anything to get a disabled person up the stairs. When we got in our room it was a bit chilly and because it was late we didn't call the host because we could deal for one night. In the morning the maintenance guy came right up. We went out and when we came back our room was so hot we had to open the window. The last thing was the Internet, we could not get a signal in our room. We talked to the host again. And her response was because the house is so old it is hard for the signal to get through the walls. Normally I would accept that but, they had 3 Internet names. The one that stated Woodland Guesthouse was not for guests and had the best signal which I could get in my with no problem. The ones for the guests was 2 others ones which were for guests, could only get a signal if you went out in the hall and part way down the stairs. So for a couple hours I sat on the stairs so I could use my tablet and get online. My point with all of this, is about Router placement. If they placed one router or extender on the upper floors all guests would get Internet. Other than, our stay was good, bed comfy and the guest house building was fantastic.

Nicht wie erwartet

Wir haben ein Zimmer mit Frühstück in die Suchmaschine eingegeben und zur Auswahl stand auch Woodland. Leider hat es kein Frühstück gegeben, obwohl wir die Rezensionen gelesen haben und das Essen als sehr gut bezeichnet wurde. Die Dame hat uns alles erklärt und war nett. Auch die Dusche war stark beschädigt und es Bestand Verletzungsgefahr. Die Zimmer waren wie beschrieben, leider nur eine Kommode und kein Schrank.
