Everything was perfect| The room was spotless, comfortable, and roomy (spacious)! Loved the vibe of the hotel and it is perfectly situated for the popular Liverpool attractions.

The room was freezing. Heating not working. I had to ask twice before I eventually got a very inadequate throw that didn’t really make much difference whilst sleeping. Consequently bathroom freezing. Room on main road which was extremely noisy. After all nightlife had gone, the city cleaners came to life at 4am. So all in all not great for sleeping or peaceful night. However staff were friendly and the location is super, right in the town centre. So I guess it’s weighing up your needs for your personal visit. I wouldn’t choose this hotel again.

They always say it’s about location. Well that is so true for hard days night hotel. You are in the hub of every thing. Walkable to all sites, shoppers, restaurants and pubs. Staff wonderful. Rooms clean and fresh. A very fun bar to enjoy. Loved our stay, we will be back .

I remember coming here 10 years ago and loving it. This time it just felt run down and basic. Spacious room but the large sliding glass window was covered in hand and finger prints. Staff acted like we were a big inconvenience checking in, no help getting bags, no greeting (I.e. have you been to Liverpool before?) or local recommendations.

Loud music from a local bar ran through until 2:15 am and the inadequate should proofing of the windows meant we heard it all. 3 hours later the glass and rubbish collection was equally clear and loud. “Table service” at the on-site bar meant sitting and waiting at our table for 5 minutes, before approaching the idle staff for a drink. So a bit meh.

Great property overall. Rooms next to Matthew Street can be quite loud. Ask for a room on the opposite side of the hotel if you prefer something quieter.

The rooms are small old and smelly . Definitely not 4 stars. The desk staff was somewhat rude both my dad and I have once forgotten a key card in our room and I was told they would charge me for a lost card while it was simply in the room. We arrived at 14:50 and it was impossible to get our rooms or do anything about it since it was not 3 pm yet. In short nothing to make our stay enjoyable. The location and theme are great but that's it

Lovely spacious hotel, amazing theme. Love the location as just next to the Cavern quarter - accessible to everything. Staff kind, courteous and helpful. Love the building and large rooms. Only issue for us was that the heating didn't work in the room - we were given a radiator! Given it's November and it was cold outside the room was quite uncomfortable temperature wise. Really the hotel should have told us as my wife has raynards which meant the cold got to her quickly. Also the rooms need charging points, nothing like that anywhere. Food was lovely in the restaurant, the breakfast ok - although a few of the appliances need modernising. Barman - Irish chap was excellent as was the new girl waitress, lovely lass. Would stay again given the position.
