We checked in at 7:00 PM on the 20th. The front desk staff who assisted us initially, was exceptionally helpful with room arrangements. However, we later realized we had booked one fewer room than needed. As the hotel was fully booked, one of our group had to stay at a neighboring hotel for the second night.He told us that as he had collected all the tax, if one of us did not stay in the other for the other days, the hotel could refund the tax to us when we checked out. All the others checked out on the 24th at 7:00 AM.
Before departure, unfortunately, a different staff member handled our early checkout. Despite the hotel already having our credit card details on file, this employee insisted on manually copying all card information (including security codes) to process the refund, which felt *extremely unsafe*. I think after reading this message, the hotel should contact me again and refund the tax to me.
