All the furniture is broken, or dirty, our door lock came loose by the end of our stay. The owner isnt very trustworthy, nor seems to know the area that well as we got a parking ticket following their advice. This place is not worth the money you pay

They never replied to give me a code to get in so I called and asked for a refund and hotels.com said they couldn’t get me one. This place sent me a message I would get a refund but I haven’t seen it.

Simple but good value for the money. Easy to ride a bike to the famous areas (bike shari n station outside the house). Room was simole but clean. You essily hear the neighbors, but thats ok. Safe neighborhood with some nice cafes and restaurants.

It was a terrible experience for this booking. We booked this Garden Guest House in advance for one week. When we arrived at 10 pm (and raining) for checking in, they told us our booking was cancelled and no room for us. This put us in a very difficult situation and destroyed all our travel plan and cost much more. They are so no responsible and reliable. Either this hotel or Hotels.com say sorry and give any compensation. Consumer right not protected!

The room looked nothing like the pictures. It was dirty, outdated, and uncomfortable. The closet in the room was broken so we couldn’t use it. The fan that was provided was broken too. There are two shared bathrooms, which are dirty and not have mold all over the place. The kitchenette was not really available to use, other than the microwave; you weren’t allowed to use the stove or the washing machine. They provided no towels even though in the pictures they show they do. There were bedbugs and whenever the owners would come in, they’d be very noisy and at one point they just randomly opened our room door. We had to leave this place earlier than expected and look a hotel near by. When I let them know that we were leaving early because of the conditions, they just said “ok” and did not offer us a refund for the remaining time, nor did they care. I am not sure how this place is still in business. The owners speak broken English so it was hard to understand, and they don’t speak Portuguese as they are from somewhere in the Middle East.

When I arrived at the door of Garden Guest House at 5:30pm and used the Message Property of Expedia to get check-in instructions. Instead, I got a response forwarding me to another nearby property : Fortune guest house. I also got another message of failing to call me. Of course, I am using my phone from home country. I guess the property re-sold my booking to another customer, thinking that I will not show up. This is WRONG practice as I already paid for it. This is the first time I encounter this. To make this case worse, the forwarded guest house has mold in bathrooms. Although the manager is polite, and asked me to wait 10 minutes for preparing my room. He has done a lot of work to try to keep the place clean with 5 rooms.

O quarto em si é bacana, estava organizado e a estadia no geral foi boa. Pontos negativos: o Senhorio não sabia que havia a reserva. Precisei ligar para ele quando cheguei e alguardar do lado de fora por uns 20 minutos. O fogão não funcionava. Positivos: Boa organização, 2 casas de banho, todas as torneiras e chuveiros com água quente. Lugar bem localizado O "hostel" fica no 3° andar do prédio, sem elevador e o dono arranha no português, deu para entender.

O pior que já conheci!!!!

Para começar, no dia da minha chegada recebi um recado da casa ne avisando que não tinham vagas e que eu deveria cancelar a reserva!!!! Não era reembolsável e eu ne recusei a cancelar e disse que eles o fizessem.... Dentro de duas horas, depois de eu ter entrado em contato com o aplicativo, me mandaram outro recado dizendo que eu poderia ir.... A Localização é muito boa, este é o único ponto positivo nesta Guesthouse, além da roupa de cama ser nova e de qualidade razoável.Não tinha toalhas, precisei solicitar para o aplicativo, pois o hostes não atendia os recados nem o telefone.... trouxeram toalhas velhas e encardidas.Travesseiros péssimos. O hostes indiano mal humorado não fala português e tem um péssimo inglês. O quarto bem pequeno tem uma cama de casal, uma pequena mesa e uma cadeira. Nenhum espaço para malas, nem sequem um cabideiro para pendurar uma bolsa ou casaco.A limpeza do quarto era boa. Um dos banheiros tinha o ralo do chuveiro entupido, azulejos sujos. Faltou água quente 2 dos 5 dias de hospedagem A cozinha tem um microondas sujo e uma chaleira elétrica quebrada. Fogão e forno não podem ser usados e tem um exaustor absolutamente imundo. Pouca louça, nenhuma faca de corte.Piso da cozinha muito sujo... Refrigerador pequeno e cheio de coisa estragada. Tive nojo de usar a cozinha... Banho e uso da cozinha permitidos apenas entre 10h e 22h.....

We arrived at the property at 5pm originally we told the hotel we would be there at 7 pm ok so we were early but it was the middle of the afternoon the hotel was on 3rd floor the door was locked you had to ring a bell which we did the doorway and door were filthy, there was no response from ringing the bell so we rang both numbers on the dirty plaque on the wall,first number went to answerphone, second number was unobtainable, hung around for 10 mins then left, owner rang us 20 mins later, he told us we were too early, itold him that according to his wesite someone would be there, i told him that the door was locked and was filthy dirty, he said never mind he would be there in 10 minutes, we told him no way were we staying there as it was so dirty, if this is the entrance to your business gthe least you could do is keep it clean, we booked another hotel for the night in Lisbon.
