Great location and views, however incredibly overcrowded communal areas during the day (pool oversubscribed, reception cluttered with early arrivals). The room was spacious however incredibly damp and humid, noticeable on every wall. We were given a key that did not fit the lock. It took the hotel 20 minutes to fix while we had to stand next to the door. Additionally no soap products in the room. They gave them to me at reception when I asked and they apologized. Still for the price we are paying this is a bit annoying . Couch has many big stains.

Personale gentilissimo e sempre disponibile. L'hotel e' in posizione strategica, a due passi dal centro di Vulcano e con accesso privato alla spiaggia delle sabbie nere. Ricca colazione con prodotti del territorio (deliziose marmellate locali, torte e granita al pistacchio). Abbiamo prenotato una tripla comfort e la stanza - con angolo cottura davvero funzionale - era nuovissima. Altamente consigliato, noi torneremo senz'altro!

L’albergo possiede una spiaggia privata, servita di lettini e ombrelloni e con il bagnino a disposizione, inoltre vi è anche una bella piscina ben curata e sorvegliata. A pochi passi si trovano i fanghi per le cure termali. Il paese offre varie escursioni ma noi abbiamo scelto le cure ed il riposo. Direi eccellente la prima colazione, varia, abbondante e con ottimi prodotti di prima qualità. Esperienza da ripetere.

Bon Séjour mais avec quelques remarques qui auraient permis d’atteindre une meilleure prestation : L’accueil est excellent par Antonella qui parle français avant le voyage et à l’arrivée. Malheureusement c’est la seule interlocutrice qui a des informations utiles à votre séjour, le reste de l’équipe n’a pas l’info ou N’a pas l’autorisation de la donner aux clients. La piscine est grande et très propre mais elle est malheureusement fermée entre 13 et 15 heures ce qui n’est pas explicable dans un pays comme la Sicile, ou d’ailleurs personne ne fait la sieste entre 13 et 15 heures..mais déjeune. Les plongeons sont interdits, ce qui est là aussi incompréhensible quand on a des enfants. À noter que par compte le gardien est très strict et à l ouïe très fine ... pas contre n a pas vu le voleur de mon t shirt laisse sur le parasol... Le petit déjeuner est très bien mais il aurait été souhaitable que les œufs soient fait à la minute, plutôt réchauffés toute la journée. Bar a cocktail très bien, surtout le barman qui a de nombreuses surprises de grande qualité. Plage très propre et transat toujours disponibles.

Nice hotel with free beach, very kind personnel

It is a nice hotel/residence with free beach. The wifi works really well all over the structure and the village is only 10 minutes walk away. They also provide a free shuttle from the port at your arrival and the whole staff is very helpful and willing to advise and make your stay really pleasant. The top roof cocktail bar is amazing but it's only available for a few hours at sunset. The breakfast is also very good. The only gap is a proper bar available during the day or a restaurant, although there are many nearby. There is an on site beautician available for treatments (upon request). My room was in the renovated part of the hotel, it was a garden view ground floor but very spacious.

Une chambre, coin cuisine, terrasse avec magnifique vue mer, tout cela sur la plage de sables noirs et une eau transparente sur fond noir. Belle salle de bain tres pratique, une réception et le personnel parfaits. Pas de défaut. Nous y retournerons. Le centre ville (!) est à 10 minutes à pied. Il y a aussi des bars/restos sur la plage pour les lunchs.

Un complesso molto gradevole, camere ampie così come i bagni. Climatizzazione funzionale. Ottima prima colazione, con una buona varietà di cibi dolci e salati. Sul caffè stendiamo un velo pietoso... Di qualità i brunch preparati per gli ospiti, serviti all'aperto o nella sala colazioni. Wi Fi gratuito e veloce. Spiaggia privata vicinissima e ben tenuta. Con cinque minuti di passeggiata si arriva sul Porto di Ponente, con i suoi bar e ristoranti. Servizio navetta da e per il porto.

The Only Serious Choice For Vulcano

Les Sables Noir is THE choice for Vulcano, a "resort" town of low quality. Our apartment (we stayed five days) had a large bedroom and large sitting/dining room with kitchenette, plus nice bathroom. A/C was efficient but noisy. No utensils but useful fridge freezer and sink. Our room (109) was on the corner, facing the beach. Great for the view and access, but not for privacy. The bad eggs smell from the mud baths occasionally wafted over, but not too bad on beach side. It's a 10 min walk to the port. Tip: make sure you call to for pickup or it's a case-dragging walk in the heat down a dusty road. There is no information at all at the hotel, not a single sheet of paper (why not?), so ask questions about the hotel and Vulcano. The rooftop bar would have had more than its 2 or 3 customers a night if someone even told the guests it existed! Also, the restaurant is for breakfast (adequate, but nothing hot - cold bacon and eggs?!? Weird.) and a snack lunch only, not for dinner, so you have to trek along the dark (take a torch), dusty road to the "town", with its terrible bars and grotty pizzerias. They could make a fortune here by opening and publicising that restaurant in the evenings, as the only decent one available. Great small private beach area with good quality shaded sunbeds on the black sands, but charging 6 Euros a day for a couple of towels? Pathetic for a place of this overall standard. The pool was nice, but has no shallow end, so poor for non-swimmers and kids.
