"We wanted to visit Utrecht for one night and I wanted somewhere close to the train station. The price I paid for this is terrible. We are currently staying 3 nights at Artotel in Amsterdam for €40 more a night and you can see the difference in luxury. The only good thing about this hotel was the really lovely person who checked us in. It is not worth the price at all. When we checked in there was a problem with the key cards. We waited 40 minutes while hungry when they could have given us a different room but they wanted to reset the room key fob. I actually feel sorry for the staff and managers because when being charged this much people obviously will get annoyed easily. There is some kind of problem with pricing vs the staff who are understanding. When we came back, we had to change rooms because it wasn’t working. Both rooms were tiny. I booked this so we would have a bigger room in the area close to the station. It is a long walk with luggage through a busy shopping mall. I paid €273. It was worth around €100 max. I would never stay here again even if you paid me to. The prices are not comparable to the area, service and room. Even my teenage son told me when we arrived at Artotel in Amsterdam, ‘you paid €40 more for this, that’s crazy’ - it has a pool, double size of room, a TV built into the glass wardrobe and is right by Amsterdam station. I also had a handwritten note and chocolates. Take that as you will. I do not recommend the Hilton Ulrecht at all."

"The lady at desk was so nice and also cleaning team were very polite. Lovely hotel and not far walk to centre of city. Supermarket close and some good nightlife also close."

"Modern tasteful decor throughout, relaxing ambience, spacious well appointed bedroom with lovely products and quality coffee pods. The food/breakfast buffet were very good. Having the pool and spa area to ourselves was a real treat. We would love to stay again"

"The location is perfect for a visit to Efteling. There is a big carpak next to the hotel which is shared by a little supermarket and a couple other shops. It’s free to park in there for as long as you need. No cameras so no need to give your reg. The hotel is a brilliant location with 5-10 mins walk to the park. The hotel will give you directions. We had to move our park tickets to the following day as immigration took too long getting off the boat. We drive to the hotel but called in at the Lidl down the road for room snacks. There is a large smart tv in the room so we all chilled chilly watching Netflix. The beds were incredible and so comfortable. There is a microwave and fridge you can use close to the bedrooms and I also saw a washer and dryer for people to use too. All in all, I’m really happy we choose this hotel. "

"We had a fantastic stay at the Crown Plaza Utrecht. The location was excellent for access to train station, great shopping mall attached, short walk to the Oudegracht area with amazing restaurants and shops. Our room and bathroom were very clean and the bed super comfortable. Would definitely stay there again the next time we are in Utrecht"

"Stayed 4 nights, great location to both the train station and the sites, nice restaurant for dinner, I didn’t have the breakfast but it looked good. A free drink to opt out of daily cleaning was a nice touch. "
