The pub was in a charming, rural location but easy to find. Lovely gardens. We ate dinner the first night and it was so good we booked for the next night. Bedroom comfy and well supplied. We’ll be back.

Simply lovely break

Such a lovely location, beautiful country pub, amazing food. It is the staff that keep these things too such a great standard, Chrissie was such a wonderful host, it felt like home for a couple of days.

A wonderful find

Stylish, cosy, intimate pub. Excellent food in the restaurant with locally sourced food, wine and beer. Bedroom was chic, comfortable, spacious and clean. The staff were all lovely. A really enjoyable stay and we will be back!

Lovely place

Booked a 2 night stay to go to Plumpton races. Sadly races suspended due to weather so decided to leave and make the long journey home to Manchester. This is no reflection on hotel. Room was large, clean and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Staff friendly and efficient

We absolutely loved our stay last year. The room was big and really warm. We loved our homemade truffles and the cordial. The breakfast in the morning was a delight and cooked to perfection. Beautifully unassuming from the outside. Once you enter the restaurant and bar you immediately feel the relaxed atmosphere. The dining area is lovely. Our room was absolutely gorgeous. Everything you needed was provided. The ensuite was stunning. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic location and such a beautiful place! Room was very comfortable and with a lot of little treats. Very clean and lovely! Good shower and lovely touch with all soaps and shampoo provided! Bottle of vino was an amazing treat! Breakfast was delicious and staff was so friendly and polite! Very comfortable beds and the decor was very tasteful. Countryside enfolded the TJS and as soon as we walked in we were made to feel welcomed. Our room was clean and fresh. Everything you needed had been thought of, big walk-in shower. fluffy robes, small fridge with water and milk for your tea. We only had breakfast but was freshly cooked and lasted us all day. We loved our stay and would definitely go back. TJS gets our thumbs up.

LITTLE GEM TUCKED AWAY DOWN A LEAFY LANE

Great stay. Arrived late in the evening with not much charge in my electric car. They sorted out an extension lead so I could get some emergency miles. Nothing was too much trouble and the bed was super comfy Would have liked breakfast slightly earlier but that’s just my personal opinion
