Conveniently close to Levin stay

Accommodation was nice and close to Levin, but at the same time out of town, which was great. The room was nice and clean, but rather outdated. The TV was set on the wrong side of the room, making it difficult to see when lying in bed. Being close to the main road, it was rather noisy with the trucks and train going by, this could be a problem for those that have difficulty sleeping, but otherwise a nice location. Loved the view from the back windows/door, with cows merrily relaxing in their pasture. Over all I was happy with my stay, had all that we needed.

Not a hotel. Rural Antiquated cabins

Must have been workers cabins in a passed life? At the further most end of town on number 1 highway & freight link. Trucks & trains most of the night. Tv was in odd spot with sofa to the side. We had to move the bed to watch tv. We had booked through Wotif but were also charged by the establishment & a highly inflated price. Quote online $115. Actual charge $167 & $ 168 by Wotif.

Cleanliness was average. The decor was dated and the whole place need refurbishment.At 2am the noise from the under bench water heater sounded like it was going to blow up and kept me awake. Wireless was hopeless and I had to revert to hot spotting my phone The room was crammed with a Queen and single bed really only room for 2

OK, close to shopping

Far to noisy, on main expressway, heard every freight train from retiring for night until 2 or 3 am plus every truck that went past during the night, nor a restful night.

Ok for an overnighter.

Very dated and didn't have all of the catering equipment we would have liked (no sharp knife). However, it was very pleasant sitting out the back in the afternoon sun. Bathroom and bedroom were adequate and we had a good night's sleep. The wifi worked so spasmodically that w gave up on it. The gentleman at the counter was excellent, very friendly and helpful.

Good for families

Good room for a family, fully equipped kitchen with the ability to cook dinner and a place to eat by the table. Short drive from city center. Like many other small hotels in NZ the shower can use an upgrade.

Rustic motel

When we drove onto the motel property we were seriously concerned that the facilities were not going to be adequate for our needs. However we were given a large cottage which was away from the main complex. It was clean and had everything we needed. Driving around Levin we discovered a large bird sanctuary on the town's lake and spent a long time enjoying the activity.
