We had a terrible experience that end up with us leaving the hotel. The hotel was ok. The room was basic but fine, but the TV didn't work, and no WiFi in the room. When we arrived at the reception we receive the hotel rules. One of those rules was about the noise and not smoking in the bedroom. We went to the beach and came back to rest.The hotel was practically empty. But they end putting us right next to another “guest couple”. The rooms are really close to each other and we were able to hear everything, even with the balcony’s door closed there was still so much noise and smoke from the cigarettes getting into our bedroom. I decide to let the receptionist know about the issues and to check if we could get another room. There was no staff at all at that moment, only the security guard that said they were sleeping at 18:57h. I decided to contact Expedia to help us find someone in the hotel. 30min later I hear someone knocking the door very aggressively. I opened the door and there was the receptionist and the “the guest couple.The man introduced himself as the hotel director, and started shouting at me saying that there was no noise at all, who did I think I was by contacting Expedia, a young men that doesn’t like noise, and he was trying to provoke a fight.We didn’t feel safe and decided to leave. We gave them the key and man started following us for 5 minutes with his car. It ruin our small vacation and we went back to our house (4h away). Do not stay here!

Terrible stay…. No hot water, bed was like sleeping on bricks, no cable, very weak wifi, and of top of that I have to deal with lots of mosquitos. The only thing good about the stay was the breakfast, which was pretty good. I’m not a hard person to please, I can roll many punches; but this rite here had to be my worst stay

Great location by the beach and very friendly staff. Quick to respond to emails. DJ on site with good music on Saturday afternoon. Room was clean. Very nice layout of the hotel, the pool, the gardens and the area in front of the water. The hotel needs some maintenance in its infrastructure (in the breakfast area needs to paint some walls, fix curtains and clean the ceilings). Also, the fixture of the shower and the drain in the bathroom need maintenance.

Air conditioning in the room isn't powerful enough. We had a really hot night full of mosquitoes. Also, the pool was filthy; you couldn't see the bottom and it smelled bad. The space of the hotel was nice and well distributed. The restaurant was great. Overall, the place needs to be maintained better.

The Playa Bonita Hotel in Samana.. not good.

MY ROOM NEVER GOT TO HAVE HOT WATER AND THEY DIDN'T HAVE ICE OR ICE BUCKETS FOR THE ROOM. THE POOL HASN'T CLEAN AND THE ROOM IS CLEANED EVERY TWO DAYS. THE HOTEL HAVE A DIFFERENT NAME NOW.

Great spot next to the beach if you want to relax, clean room, clean pool, good breakfast, only problems are the tv wasn’t working (for my kid to watch), the wifi was weak. Other than that great place.
