Nice hotel

Too far away from the beach. Housekeeping facility not available. Room facilities very nice with toiletries. Will highly recommend for a budgeted stay.

Just a trial experience

Internet connection POOR. Complained to receptionist who said most guest also gave the same feedback and this has been brought to the attention of the owner but nothing done to improve the experience. Told by receptionist that breakfast easily available nearby - UNTRUE. Most shops do not open so early and they serve only lunch and dinner. Had to walk to Langkawi Seaview hotel to have breakfast at RM22+ per person.

Denna vistelsen var hemsk, det började med att de va kackelackor döda och levande i hela gången och trappen. Hotellrummet va riktigt lortigt, handdukarna va lortiga och fulla i svart långa hårstrån. En urusel upplevelse, bytte hotell direkt. - va att hotellet ligger på helt fel sida av ön.

Wat een aankomst met zulk lief personeel, ze regelen direct alles voor je en erg behulpzaam. Je krijgt gewoon wat je betaald heb. prima voor een paar nachtjes slapen.

Amara guest house Langkawi - not recommended very

Worst book the hotel from 3-7 DEC 2015 but when arrive room not ready. Amara management send us to nearby hotel regency which is very dirty. We stay at regency for two days. Amara management telling us hotel.com problem because not communicate with them. Once we check in at amara Aircond problem, WiFi not working, toilet prob n not clean. Asking to make up room until we check out they don't do it. Asking amara management why don't make up my room they say sorry no enough worker. Overall not recommended very worst. I hope hotel.com can monitor all listing hotel under hotel.com to avoid any prob to user.

There is no WIFI as publish in the brochure. There is no safety for room occupant. Room are without latches to prevent intrusion.

Stora fina rum med en bra dusch. Stor plus till chefen Nelson som skjutsade oss i sin bil dit vi kunde hyra mopeder. Inte jättebra läge om man inte är berömd på att gå en bit eller hyra moped/bil.

An extraordinary kindness

Mr Nelson, the manager and his team was very kind and helpful. Considering that I was having walking difficulty, he made arrangement for me to have a room on the groundfloor. We booked a triplet and he provided us with 2 rooms as a replacement; a King and Queen size bed :). His staff, nickname Diamond was always available and helpful. Happy to repeat stay when we get to Langkawi again.

Staying here is a nightmare... Horibble exp...

Staying Amara guest house is biggest blunder. The hotel is located in a remote area of kova town. No restaurant near. At least 1km walk for restaurant. No in-house facility. No WiFi in the rooms. No drinking water facility. AC don't works properly. No housekeep staff. After sunset the total area turns to a nightmare.

Not like the pictures at all.

Me and my boyfriend booked so we could use the time to do some research on the Internet, use some luxury aircon and a hot shower! This hotel had none of these things as promised. We were moved rooms twice and then moved to another hotel down the road in the end as we refused to pay for the nonexistent amenities! Don't expect much here at all or don't bother!
