"The Apex proved to be a great hotel choice while in Edinburgh. A close walk to the Royal Mile and literally above the train station made it very convenient to site see and then catch the train to London. The hotel felt very safe and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was excellent. All of the staff extremely friendly. Our room was a triple and was very large by European standards. A large bed, a pull out bed (comfortable) and a sofa too. The bathroom actually had a US style shower so that was nice. Overall we would return to this hotel if we were to return to Edinburgh."
"This was a very nice hotel that was extremely convenient for travelers arriving in Edinburgh by train - literally only a block and a half away! While a bit more expensive than a comparable hotel we stayed at in London an equal distance from Victoria Station, it was ideal for our stay in Edinburgh. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We arrived early and they kept our luggage for us while we visited the Palace and toured the Royal Mile. My only concern was that our luggage and backpack were left exposed to the general public in the lobby the entire time we were away. A secure room for left luggage would’ve been more reassuring!
Our room had a lovely king size bed. The ironing board and iron was a nice touch. The hair dryer worked great and there was lots of hot water and great water pressure. The climate control in the room was sluggish but eventually did a good job. We really enjoyed the breakfast buffet."
"The Adagio is in a great location on the Royal Mile! There are shops galore, many excellent restaurants, and it's within easy walking distance of Edinburgh Castle, the Holyrood Palace, the Museum of Scotland, Museum of Edinburgh as well Greykirk cemetery. It is also a short walk to Waverly train station and the AirLink 100 bus stop to the airport.
As for our room, a twin beds, the beds were firm and the pillows were comfy. The kitchenette include a good sized refrigerator, a two burner stove, a small dishwasher and a set of dishes, cutlery and an electric kettle.
There was extra closet space too which was very convenient to have. The bathroom was clean, nice showerhead with good water pressure, and a large sink.
The onsite laundry in the lower floor was a bargain although it's in a small space. You can be notified by email when your wash cycle and/ or dryer cycle is completed. A very convenient feature!
All in all, we enjoyed our 3 night stay at the Adagio and will definitely stay there again. "
